Theresa Caputo, the star of TLC’s series Long Island Medium, says she was 28 when she was first introduced to the possibility that she was a medium. It took another five years for her to actually accept her gift.
“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”
The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

I am writing to you to try to get some answers. I have lost two brothers in the last 4 yrs or so. The first was diabetic and he did not take care of himself, so i don’t have a lot of questions regarding his death. It’s my baby brother that causes me to question why? He has always taken care of himself, always lived life to the fullest. He got sick last Thanksgiving, went ino a coma the12th of December.I left home in Florida to be there when he came out of the coma. He was taken off of life support on the 2nd of Jan. on my fathers birthday. He died on my mothers birthday the 3rd of Jan. Fast forward to after i got back to florida. My son brought the morning paper in, and i was drawn to the horoscope page,{INEVER read that part of the paper} It said, You willcontinue to imagine someone dear to you as whole and healed. It’s not how the person is today, but you can envision when this will be the case. I told myself that i had to keep this and share it with my sisters. So i called my sister and was reading it to her when i noticed the date on the paper. It was dated the 31st of Dec.I found it the 18th of Jan. i mentioned it to my sister and tnen she asked me if i knew what day this was? i thought for a second Oh my Lord, it was my brothers birthday. After that other strange things have happened, I wish you could tell me what all this means. I really would like some closure. If you can help, it would be great. May God watch over you so you continue to do the great things you are doing.

My name is Brandy B. I have had some darkness around me and would really like your help. I have tried to get this away from me w/ other mediums in the past. This thing I’m talking about is tearing me away from my family and friends one by one. I’ve lost aunts uncles, just recently my dad has turned against me.
