What happened to SPEED channel? On Aug. 17, SPEED becomes FOX Sports 1 on all major pay-TV providers. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will now air on FS1.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, at 8am ET, SPEED will become FOX Sports 1, a new national sports network featuring live college football, auto racing, UFC, soccer, news shows and more. In most cases, the FOX Sports 1 channel will be the same channel formerly held by SPEED. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will still air on FS1, including the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, practice and qualifying, and complementary programming like NASCAR Live. Select NASCAR Sprint Cup races will come to FS1 beginning in 2015.

If I wanted to watch football or baseball I’d go to ESPN. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I called and bitched and they said they would give me $40 a month off my bill for 3 months. I told them to keep their money-give me SPEED.

I understand speed channel is still available in Canada. I may just turn my c-band dish back on and see if I can find it. If our government wanted to control everything they could stop these rich m—– F——s from buying up all the channels instead of feeding us obamacare My rant is over but not my anger. This was a horrible move! We do not need another sports talk show about drug taking baseball and football players! Nascar and motors ports are the only thing I watch now speed channel is gone I will be canceling dish network .

I agree with all of the above comments. We tried to get Race Hub and could not find it. My husband and I definitely do not like the change. Why couldn’t they just leave the Speed channel alone.
Unless you plan on starting another Speed Channel, you just pulled the biggest bonehead move in history. You had the best, most loyal audience in the world, and you had it all to your self, but you’d rather go head-to-head to try to get a sliver on an audience that is already somewhere else and who knows they do that segment better anyway? Not rational. I hope you have some kind of a plan… I don’t have ANY sports channels programmed into my remote.
Enough with the ball sports how many channels do you need. I could care less about any of your sports with out a motor in it. Its bad enough when little league cuts into NHRA on Ch 144. This really sucks. I Might just give up on Dish
Speed Channel is gone and so is your viewer ship except for the ones that eat up the stick and ball games, which is all they are, is a game!
They can call the channel/network anything they just leave our racing alone do not like Boxing / Cage Fighting / Baseball / football or anything else not dealing with the Auto Racing on our old SPEED Channel –

I dont watch sports based channels I like automotive shows if i wanted sports channels I would have bought some thanks alot now we will boycott all fox channels and any company that has advertising on on them and will also let them know why will also be cutting back on the package because this was the only reason to upgrade thanks for nothing

Also enjoyed the bike races. Now I’ll have to do without any of them. Someone want to start (revive) speed channel as the speed network? I’d pay for that.
there’s enough college and nfl talk on espn1 2 3 why the heck do we have to replace the only motorsport channel that covered all types of racing for another show covering a game that was in the past!
