What happened to SPEED channel? On Aug. 17, SPEED becomes FOX Sports 1 on all major pay-TV providers. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will now air on FS1.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, at 8am ET, SPEED will become FOX Sports 1, a new national sports network featuring live college football, auto racing, UFC, soccer, news shows and more. In most cases, the FOX Sports 1 channel will be the same channel formerly held by SPEED. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will still air on FS1, including the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, practice and qualifying, and complementary programming like NASCAR Live. Select NASCAR Sprint Cup races will come to FS1 beginning in 2015.

Speed channel was one of the few channels I frequently watched. While i enjoy sports there are already enough sports stations on the air. It really sucks that as a classic car owner the shows regarding that hobby are now gone. You should be ashamed to make this change with no consideration for the customers paying for the channels they want and now for one more that sucks.
My husband just discovered that we no longer have the SPEED channel. I read all the comments to him and we both agree with them. The only soccer we watch is our grandson’s 11 year old team. He likes Pinks and Pass Time also. Please BRING SPEED BACK! This is as bad as watching Honey Boo Boo. I guess we’ll just go to bed……
what do we need another sports chanel for we all ready pay for that I don’t watch ,or care too. there are19 of them,20 with the new fox sports I still wont watch,and don’t care to be charged for in my bill. so why don’t cable & satilite and fios let me select what I want to watch,speed chanel would be one of them

This is BS. There was ONE channel that had racing on it, now there’s gonna be a little bit of Nascar mixed in with boxing and soccer.
