What happened to SPEED channel? On Aug. 17, SPEED becomes FOX Sports 1 on all major pay-TV providers. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will now air on FS1.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, at 8am ET, SPEED will become FOX Sports 1, a new national sports network featuring live college football, auto racing, UFC, soccer, news shows and more. In most cases, the FOX Sports 1 channel will be the same channel formerly held by SPEED. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will still air on FS1, including the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, practice and qualifying, and complementary programming like NASCAR Live. Select NASCAR Sprint Cup races will come to FS1 beginning in 2015.

What happened to speed channel. We don’t want to watch football or baseball, that is why we had speed, we will be cancelling our cable.
fs1 is another cookie cutter sports channel. like there isn’t enough of them already!!! I wont be watching fs1 in protest. power sports needs speed channel back. that was my most watched channel in my line up! this is BS!!!!

BRING BACK THE SPEED CHANNEL!! I HATE THE NEW FS1 BULLCRAP. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO CHANGE IT?? I WATCH FOOTBALL TOO, BUT THERE ARE ALREADY ENOUGH CHANNELS THAT PLAY FOOTBALL AND BASEBALL AND WHATEVER ELSE, THIS CHANNEL WAS MEANT FOR ANYTHING AUTO RELATED, NOT ALL THE OTHER CRAP THEY’VE RECENTLY STARTED PUTTING ON FS1. MAKES ME WANT TO CANCEL MY EXPENSIVE SUBSCRITION WITH DISHNETWORK.
I guess all you guys that loved SPEED Channel so much, weren’t sending enough contributions to the broadcast company causing them to have to sell out! That’s what happens in this world of broadcasting. I’m not happy myself, but I know that if there is enough controversy, and enough voice from the fans… there will come another for us. Do any of you have CBSSN? A lot of the Motorcycle Racing will be shown on that channel.

Ballgames! It’s amazing; Ballgame sports, a dam ball.
Remember ABC Wide World of Sports? What happen to it? I’m from Philly, sports town it’s called and it’s true. Music stations went off the air and in it’s place? sports talk radio. A stellar rock station went off the air a few years ago for a sports talk station. so if you’re a rock purist, you better by a satellite radio or go on internet. It’s about the benjamins folks; those good ole boys dictate want they think is good programing for you. If you don’t like it, you’ll learn to like it in time. And that’s where the gamble begins. They know in the beginning you will sound off against the change they made; They know that you’re not going to do anything else but to accept it. They think that you don’t have any power to make a counter change. They’re betting that you won’t or can’t do anything. That’s corporate for you.
Change is good for you; that’s the mindset of corporate. It’s about ratings and what sells. They know that in time you’ll buy into it. Sad but true.

I. am really unhappy about loosing speed channel. And the chase just started. For heaven’s sake aren’t there enough college football channels. I may just cancel my satellite subscription.
Very disappointed in the change in program lineup with speed going to FS1. Will go elsewhere now for auto programming. Done with FS1.
What could FOX be thinking? Us ‘racing enthusiasts’ are certainly NOT interested in football or baseball! Like alot of other folks, I will be cancelling my cable, SPEED is why I had cable tv!
Fox Sports ONE channel SUCKS BIG TIME, what a waste of my money. I really miss my SPEED channel and my HARD PARTS/SOUTH BRONX.

fsn1 sucks, want my SPEED back. speed did not have collage football or all the other crap. bring back speed and the men who were on it, they knew their stuff.
This just sucks, I loved Speed Channel. It was the only channel I would watch on the weekends. Why dont the ask the public what they think before doing somthing like this. Where are we going to watch the V8 Supercars or Hot Rod TV all of our favorite gear head shows and different types of racing???? im really depressed.

My husband is very upset about losing the SPEED channel! He & our boys watched Hot Rod TV every Saturday morning! He just bought a 51 Ford F1 & is not pleased with not having programs detailing the newest & best parts for restoring vintage automobiles. We will certainly be contacting Dish with our complaints. Btw, the new channel sucks! We watch football, baseball, & other sports on other channels. There definitely needs to be a channel for gear heads!
