This non-points NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sprint Showdown exhibition on Friday, May 15, features two 20-lap segments, with the winners of each gaining entry into Saturday’s NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. The winner of the Sprint Fan Vote, who also gets an automatic entry into the All-Star Race, will also be announced. FOX Sports 1 has coverage of the Sprint Showdown beginning at 7pm ET.
The 31st NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race takes place at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 16, with the winner receiving a $1 million prize. This year’s event has an expanded field of eligible drivers, and the first four segments have been increased from 20 laps to 25. A 10-lap fifth and final segment determines the winner. FOX Sports 1 airs the All-Star Race beginning with qualifying at 7pm ET.
