Velocity and Discovery Channel combine for 37 hours of live coverage of the 45th annual Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2016 collector car auction Jan. 26-31 from WestWorld of Scottsdale, Ariz. Highlights of the auction include:
- General Motors performance cars including an authentic X66 Double COPO Yenko Camaro, a 1969 L88 Corvette, a 1971 GTO Judge convertible and two Buick big-block muscle cars
- Ford collectibles including a restored 1969 and 1970 Boss 429 Fastbacks, an original 1970 Boss 302 and two Ford GT supercars
- Porsche sports cars, including a Weissach Edition 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder, a Porsche 911 Speedster, a 930 Turbo and two Porsche 356s
- Rare vintage racecars including the 1959 Corvette “Purple People Eater” (pictured), the famous 1957 Chevrolet 150 #47 “Black Widow” and the 1963 Pontiac Catalina Super Duty “Swiss Cheese”
- Chevy Corvettes including VIN #001 Corvette convertibles from 1955-1957, a 1954 roadster that was entombed until 1986, and two original 1967 427/435s
