  1. Are you kidding me? What the hell? Why would they do this? I loved H2. It was the channel I watched the most. Dissapointed. I won’t watch that crap on Viceland.

  2. First you took away much of the real history by taking away History International and replacing it with H2 which showed lots of science fiction (that should be on the SciFi channel). Now it is gone altogether and replaced with trash! The only reason I purchased the tier 2 package was for the History International channel, which used to be in the tier 1 package, until you bumped it up to tier 2. Now I have no reason to purchase anything other than basic. (Which once upon a time was over the airways for free) Seems a bit tyrannical to me.

  3. Please bring back H2. Viceland and its shows are ALL over TV. H2 was unique.

I was paying nearly $200 for my Verison VIOS connection JUST so I could watch smithsonite, H2, et al.

  4. I too thought I forgot what channel H2 was on, only to find out replaced by Viceland. What a bad decision -H2 was watched pretty much 24/7 in our house. I think I will have to block this channel-Im thinking about quitting cable completely- AS I HAVE NO INTEREST IN VICELAND and my kids cant watch it- so have to find a cable replacement pretty quick.

  5. I just made this horrifying discovery yesterday when I was beating my brain thinking I lost track of what channel H2 was on. It’s a shame that TV is going in this direction, I hate reality TV and it seemed like H2 was a haven for people that hated what the History channel became. I like someone else mentioned, have yet to see a change in the programming for H2 to compensate either. But this is nothing new, MTV went to crap so they made MTV2 to get back to pure videos (AND kind of breaking new acts too), but MTV2 went in the same direction. Who remembers when TLC (The Learning Channel, almost a laughable title now) was all about documentaries and actual education? Ancient Aliens doesn’t even show up on my on demand anymore (I’ve been into to the whole theory before the show, they did start to loose me with the Civil War/Zombie type of angles though). Viceland isn’t even a replacement, it’s just a whole ‘nother different channel, I won’t bash it yet (though I’ve seen no shows worth watching) but it’s not what we’re looking for.

    • Americans have been dumbed down, clearly fluff programming gets views so I’m not sure if we’re to blame a society that hates to think or there is more agenda going on.

  6. What happened to good television? why is everything being replaced by Reality shows? If you look at the History’s channel schedule the only shows are reality tv. …….. on the History Channel. Why? H2 was the only one that actually resembled a channel dedicated to history. This is so sad! I miss the good History documentaries 🙁

  7. The new Viceland channel is not of interest to me. I wish H2 had been kept. Vice is encouragement to cancel cable.

  8. The only reason I didn’t get rid of cable was because of the H2 network. This new change is horrible. I now can leave cable and go back to streaming what I want. I really believe the change you made of turning H2 into the crap channel will affect your viewers in a very negative way. Not sure who the dummies that allowed this to happen are but if you want more viewers back, fire those idiots that made toys decision.

  9. I can’t believe you made a dumb mistake and took off history 2 who in the hell watches Viceland sure not me put back H2

  10. Viceland stinks took it off of my favorite list. Think they should give us a price cut for removing history 2

  11. I’m so upset with this change! Please bring back H2. This new channel is just like all other generic channels on tv. So sad 🙁

  12. It is with regret, that A&E elected to remove H2 from my providers channel line-up. Number One, if you watched the “White Collar Weed” episode on HBO’s VICE (same production folks), you see how Capitalist are pushing lobbyist for legalization everywhere and how joint venture groups are adding production companies EVERYWHERE. I get it is legal, but really you remove programming of substance and replace with agenda TV and what’s left of the main History Channel is fluff and advertisement TV, really. So now only do you now solicit and advocate weed, you dumb down your programming. Priceless.

Amazingly two weeks before H2 was removed from my lineup, the old electric History Channel sign that overlooked the Harlem River in New York City was torn down and then the channel was removed.

If you think this is the end all be all, what how many ppl will just drop cable and just stick with streaming.
Shame on you, there are so many available channels or for that matter you could have just created a new channel.
Greed is why this country is the way it is!!
It’s not that America isn’t great, it’s the Corporate America is Greedy!!!!!!!!!!

  13. I was a big fan of H2! The History Channel lost its way and has too many historically irrelevant programs. The documentary style programs were on H2 while the other channel showed fluff programming.
The type of shows on viceland are too similar to programs found on other pseudo documentary networks like TLC and the Discovery Channel.
    I will not watch it.

  14. This channel is horrible. Like we don’t have enough of this crap on TV, you have to get rid of a good channel and put on this garbage. Bring back H2!

  15. Bring back H2. Remove the filthy viceland. I keep my dish upgraded channels just for H2. I hope enough people complain and viceland gets no viewers. Those who do watch it are a little on the strange side. Please bring back H2.
