The CW picked up the six-episode first season (and just picked up Season 2) of this sinfully clever British comedy about the hyper-religious Lewis family and their preparations for the impending end of days. Everyone Else Burns debuts Thursday, Oct. 26, at 9:30pm ET/PT.

Simon Bird (The Inbetweeners) plays patriarch David, who has a terrible haircut, a deep longing to ascend the church hierarchy and covetous feelings toward the woman on the Sun-Maid raisins box.

His wife, Fiona (Kate O’Flynn), believes that “women will be fulfilled by making the home their work.” She hasn’t found fulfillment yet, but she’s only been at it for 17 years.

Their teenage daughter, Rachel (Amy James-Kelly), is an excellent student at school but is failing at her mission to seek converts. She’s also falling asleep at school, due in most part to her father waking her up at 4am for apocalypse practice.

Son Aaron (Harry Connor) is sincerely devoted to the church and a gifted artist who depicts his family being tormented in hell and his father being consumed in a bathtub of acid.
