“Warehouse 13” and “Eureka” to feature crossover episodes this summer

By Jeff Pfeiffer Two of Syfy’s biggest series, Warehouse 13 and Eureka, are currently filming a pair of crossover episodes that will air this August. In the Warehouse 13 episode called “13.1,” airing August 3, Douglas Fargo (Neil Grayston) of Eureka’s Global Dynamics is sent to Warehouse 13 to help update its aging computer system. This triggers a seemingly sentient computer virus that sends the Warehouse into lockdown and traps the team inside. Rene Auberjonois guest-stars in this episode as former Warehouse agent Hugo Miller. National Geographic Channel is debuting two new real-life series about people in search of the largest fish on the planet. Monster Fish airs Mondays beginning July 19 and stars familiar NGC face Zeb Hogan, an explorer and conservationist who directs The Megafishes Project and who has already appeared on several of the network’s Hooked: Monster Fish specials. In July, ABC Daytime is launching a series of “What If” webisodes on abc.com and soapnet.com that answer the questions, “What would happen if two characters from different soap operas ran into each other? What would they say?” The 10-part series, which will also air in condensed versions on ABC Daytime and SOAPnet, includes popular characters from All My Children, One Life to Live and General Hospital interacting with each other. By Jeff Pfeiffer National Geographic Channel will be airing a special called Gulf Oil Spill, which looks at the devastating environmental disaster currently taking place in the Gulf of Mexico that resulted after an explosion tore apart the Deepwater Horizon oil drilling rig on April 20, killing 11 people on board and sending massive amounts of oil toward the coastlines of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida, where it threatens industries, livelihoods, ecosystems and wildlife. “The Office” version of Monopoly coming in June

It was adapted into Clue last year, and now NBC’s hit comedy The Office is being formatted into the classic board game Monopoly, with the version set to hit store shelves in June. The game is created by USAOPOLY under license from Hasbro and NBC Universal. The new take basically transforms the traditional game board properties into popular locations from the show. On April 29, National Geographic Channel will present an episode of Naked Science called “Iceland Volcano Eruption” that explores the recent, massive eruption of the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland — which has been felt around the world, grounding air traffic and causing extensive evacuations, major flooding and a plume of ash 30,000 feet high.
