“Sesame Street” turns 40

Gen-Xers might be feeling a little older today as the classic children’s show Sesame Street begins its 40th season. The series debuted on Nov. 10, 1969, and since then has continued to educate, inspire and entertain generations of kids  through clever songs, animation and, of course, Jim Henson’s Muppets. SpongeBob’s 10th anniversary celebration concludes with “Truth or Square” special

On Nov. 6 at 8pm ET/PT, Nickelodeon culminates its celebration of the 10th anniversary of its pop-culture hit series SpongeBob SquarePants with a star-studded, one-hour special called Truth or Square. “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to welcome stars of new “Twilight” movie

On Nov. 20, the day that The Twilight Saga: New Moon hits theaters, the film’s three stars will make their first interview appearance together on Jimmy Kimmel Live (12:05am ET/PT on ABC). Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be on hand to talk about the second film in the hugely popular Twilight franchise. A couple of new TV-related apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch have been announced. They are all free, and available at the App Store: CW City Wize App This app is a mobile city guide that provides CW fans with maps that highlight actual locations seen or talked about on the hit shows Gossip Girl, 90210 and Melrose Place.
