New “House of Cards” Trailer Is The Best Political Commercial Ever

Netflix’s House of Cards has released a new trailer teasing the streaming series’ fourth season and it’s a classic. It parodies political commercials that will besiege out TV airwaves in the months leading up to the 2016 election. A montage of faces, flags and freedom dissolve into each other over lines that include, “Putting people over politics.” All it needs is an elderly man saluting a flag and I’d be in tears. But they’d be tears of laughter and joy, because it is SO brilliant — Bravo Netflix. Additional kudos for premiering the commercial during Tuesday’s GOP primary debate on CNN. […]

Netflix Releases Teaser for “Fuller House”

I grew up watching Full House. I wanted to be BFF with D.J. Tanner and so, of course I’ve been following the progress of Netflix’s original Fuller House with great anticipation. Today, the streaming service released the first trailer for the series, set to Miranda Lambert’s “House That Built Me,” and I’m feeling a little weepy. This is supposed to be a comedy, right? In the reboot Fuller House, Candace Cameron Bure plays D.J. Tanner-Fuller, a recent widow who moves in with her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and fellow single mother Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). Together, the women will raise Kimmy’s teenage […]

Now the UK is shipping the Hoff back home to the U.S. of A., where he belongs. No word yet when Hoff the Record will premiere, but it definitely has a great production team behind it and Hoff is fantastic at poking fun at himself. It’s Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown

For its golden anniversary, Charles Schulz’ seminal holiday classic, A Charlie Brown Christmas, is getting a bash so big that even persnickety Peppermint Patty would approve. In celebration of the 50th anniversary, Kristen Bell will host the jubilee, It’s Your 50th Christmas, Charlie Brown, on ABC Nov. 30. Since the original Peanuts Christmas special premiered in 1965 — where a beleaguered Charlie Brown lamented the commercialization of Christmas, was persuaded to direct the annual holiday pageant, and then helped a scraggly tree find a little love — A Charlie Brown Christmas has become a yuletide tradition watched by families year […]

5 Questions With … Elliot Knight of “Once Upon A Time”

Once Upon a Time‘s Elliot Knight has wowed fans for his strong portrayal as the sorcerer Merlin, and in the first part of my interview with the British actor, he shared insight into the challenging role. In part 2, he showed off his charming light-hearted side when he answered our “5 Questions.” 1. If your TV had only three shows or networks, what would you watch? It’d have to be ABC. Every job I’ve done since I’ve been in the U.S. has been for ABC — it’s crazy — and they have a lot of really great shows too. I’m […]
