“Faith, Trust, and a Little Bit of Pixie Dust” on Dancing With The Stars “Disney Night”

Oh, it’s the most magical night of the season, the night where Genies dance with Gents, Beauties waltz with Beasts and the air has the faint glimmer of Pixie Dust. Yes, it’s time for Dancing With The Stars “Disney Night” — an evening filled with corporate synergy galore. Another charmingly pastel opening number opened the show with yards and yards of tulle and tons of animated guests. Even Mickey and pals made an appearance, before scampering backstage to nibble on craft services while the competition gets under way. Robert and Kim were quickly announced to be safe, but Suzanne and […]

Summer Schedule 2015: USA Network

On Tuesday, USA Network announced its summer slate of new and returning shows. I was happy to see the return of familiar faces like Royal Pains and look forward to meeting new friends like Mr. Robot, which recently slayed at SXSW, and Complications. I interviewed Jason O’Mara about Complications for the June issue of Channel Guide Magazine, and he was an utter dream and his thrilling show is a total adrenaline-rush. It certainly proves the line from Wicked, “No good deed goes unpunished.” And, as you can imagine, I’m beyond the moon with excitement at the news that Playing House has […]

Interview: Dancing With The Stars Pro Derek Hough

Derek Hough has been a fixture on Dancing With The Stars since he joined the cast in season 5.  Since then, he and his dance partners have won the competition five times, he’s choreographed some of the show’s most memorable dances and he’s won an Emmy. This season, Derek faces his biggest challenge yet — he’s dancing on DWTS on Mondays and then flying back to the big apple where he performs ten shows per week in the New York Spring Spectacular featuring the world famous Rockettes. On the day that I interviewed Derek — just after the season premiere — he’d appeared […]

Recap: The Royals, Episode 4

Now that we’ve gotten to know the royal family a bit, what do we think of them and are we ready for The Royals, Episode 4? I do admit to feeling a bit dirty after watching each episode, but it’s the kind of filth that washes off with a bit of a scrub. But I love that whenever I hear their fabulous accents, my writing seem a bit smarter. Or a bit more posh. I mean I’m writing this in my bed propped up by pillows, and lounging is exactly where this episode opens on our favorite pampered — and […]
