This non-points NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sprint Showdown exhibition on Friday, May 15, features two 20-lap segments, with the winners of each gaining entry into Saturday’s NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. The second leg of horse racing’s Triple Crown, the 140th Preakness Stakes, takes place Saturday, May 16, at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore. The winner of the Kentucky Derby, American Pharoah, looks for a shot at the Triple Crown, which hasn’t been accomplished since Affirmed won in 1978.
