I have always appreciated his in-depth film breakdown and expert commentary on various ESPN studio shows. To suggest that HBO’s latest original series Luck is solely about horse racing would be similar to dismissing The Sopranos as a mob show or Boardwalk Empire as a booze epic. America’s appetite for watching millionaires bid on inventions is apparently bigger than anticipated, because ABC’s Shark Tank won its time slot last week by drawing more than 6 million viewers. Not only did it take top honors for the 8-9pm ET slot, but it delivered the program’s highest ratings ever and bested or matched its peak marks among key gender and age demographics. There’s an old saying that says you should get out of the kitchen if you can’t handle the heat, and chefs Aarón Sanchez and Roger Mooking go to great extremes in Heat Seekers to prove they can handle that heat. Premiering with Season 2 at 8pm ET, the Food Network program features the two gregarious chefs trying some foods that might be too cruel for the contestants on Fear Factor.
