FOX’s “Napoleon Dynamite” won’t make your wildest dreams come true

The eminently quotable (“I caught you a delicious bass.”) 2004 comedy film Napoleon Dynamite gets a small-screen animated adaptation beginning Sunday, Jan. 15, at 8:30pm ET, on FOX. Napoleon Dynamite creators Jared and Jerusha Hess, as well as Mike Scully, serve as writers and executive producers. The cast from the film, including Jon Heder, Aaron Ruell, Efren Ramirez, Diedrich Bader, Jon Gries, Tina Majorino and Sandy Martin, are all back to voice their respective characters in the series. The Smurfs have epitomized the best of humanity since their first comic book by Belgian cartoonist Peyo in 1958. The Smurfs television series launched in the United States in 1981 and entertained a generation of children. Now the little blue family is back in The Smurfs, a film blending live action and animation.

Burt Reynolds to play himself on new season of “Archer”

When Archer returns for its third season in January, FX’s outrageous animated spy romp will count iconic actor Burt Reynolds among its guest stars.
