This past Sunday, the 2012 National Council of La Raza (NCLR) American Latino Media Arts (ALMA) Awards event was taped in Los Angeles, honoring American Latinos in the entertainment industry, television, film and music. AMC’s Mad Men (pictured) and FX’s American Horror Story both earned 17 nods apiece as the nominations for the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced today. Television Academy Chairman and CEO Bruce Rosenblum presided over the nominations, along with actress Kerry Washington and Jimmy Kimmel, who will host this year’s Emmy telecast live at 7pm ET Sept. 23 on ABC. You’ve probably noticed by now that the MTV Movie Awards aren’t exactly the most respected accolades in all of cinema (see photo).
