“Chelsea Lately” to end this summer with live, hourlong event

E! announced today that its late-night talk show Chelsea Lately, hosted by Chelsea Handler, will end its seven-year run this summer, with the one-hour series finale airing live Aug. 26 at 11pm ET/PT. Craig Ferguson stepping down from “The Late Late Show” in December

The late-night shakeup at CBS continues. In the wake of David Letterman announcing his upcoming retirement from Late Show, and the announcement that Stephen Colbert will take his place, last night Craig Ferguson, during the taping of The Late Late Show, announced his plans to step down as host this December. On Thursday, May 15, ABC’s The View will feature all 11 co-hosts from the show’s 16-plus-year history, as they celebrate series creator Barbara Walters.
