Well, if ya do, you’re not the only one! NBC’s revived American Gladiators premiered Sunday with this season’s highest adult 18-49 rating for any new series premiere, and was the Peacock’s top new series debut since Heroes back in 2006, and led the network to its highest non-sports rating during the Sunday 9-11pm ET time period in three years. “We’re extremely excited by the response to American Gladiators,” said John Wallace, president of NBC Local Media Division, in perhaps an understatement. ESPN announced it will air a special edition of its sports newsmagazine series E:60 Dec. 11 at 7pm ET. The series will resume its regular run in the spring. Features on Tuesday’s special edition: The Vick Dogs With Michael Vick serving time in federal prison ahead of his sentencing on Dec. 10 for conspiracy to operate a dog fighting enterprise, the fate of his dogs is also up in the air. ESPN’s SportsCenter is, at times, difficult to watch, but the promos in the famous “This Is SportsCenter” campaign rarely disappoint (one of our favorites is above). On Dec. 11 at 8pm ET, ESPN airs a one-hour special hosted by Karl Ravech chronicling ESPN’s ad campaign, which began in 1995 and features mini mockumentaries that capture comical moments at ESPN’s Bristol campus when SportsCenter anchors interact with athletes, celebrities and mascots.
