NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Sweet 16 Schedule

So as we enter the Sweet 16, you probably fall into one of three camps: 1) You are so stoked to see the best teams from the power conferences in epic battles of basketball Armageddon 2) You have no rooting interest in any of this anymore except that you’re bracket is still holding up 3) Your bracket is busted (thank you, Wake Forest) and you just want to get this over with. I’m sitting comfortably in camp 3. Without a Cinderella entry into the Sweet 16, there’s a lot of drama missing, even though you’ve essentially got the creme de […]

NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament Second Round Schedule

While there’s a lot of basketball still to be played in the first round as of Friday afternoon, it’s not too early to look ahead to the second-round action this weekend on CBS. Thursdays games offered few close contests and not many surprises. CS-Northridge gave Memphis a tougher game than the Tigers expected, and I was sweating out Michigan vs. Clemson. UCLA holding on for a 65-64 win over No. 11 Virginia Commonwealth turned out to be the most exciting game of the day. Some second-round games I’ll be watching closely: Gonzaga vs. Western Kentucky — everyone’s favorite past Cinderella […]

President Obama’s Bracket Has … North Carolina!

By Ryan In an exclusive interview with ESPN’s Andy Katz, President Barack Obama filled out his NCAA Tournament bracket and has North Carolina defeating Louisville in the finals. “Now, for the Tar Heels that are watching, I picked you all last year — you let me down,” Obama says. “This year, don’t embarrass me in front of the nation, all right? I’m counting on you. I still got those sneakers you guys gave me.” The interview will re-air Wednesday, March 18, during the 6pm and 11pm ET editions of SportsCenter. You can view the president’s entire bracket at ESPN’s Tournament […]

NCAA Men’s Tournament First Round Schedule

NCAA Men’s Tournament action officially tips off Tuesday night on ESPN (7:30pm ET) with the play-in game between Alabama State and Morehead State, a formality to determine who will get slaughtered by Louisville and Rick Pitino’s suit on Friday night. But the Big Dance is in full effect on Thursday at 12pm ET on CBS. The first-round games on Thursday and Friday are one of my favorite sports days of the year. Yeah, I’m stuck at the office, but not getting any work done is part of the whole tournament experience. (Just kidding. I’ll get work done … during timeouts.) […]
