Television coverage begins on Sunday, March 11, when NBC Sports Network (formerly Versus) airs FC Dallas vs New York Red Bulls at 3pm. On Sunday, March 11, at 9pm ET, ESPN premieres the documentary The Announcement, a look back at the day in 1991 when NBA star Magic Johnson revealed to the world that he was HIV positive. I have always appreciated his in-depth film breakdown and expert commentary on various ESPN studio shows. But I couldn’t stand him on Monday Night Football, and I couldn’t be happier that he has been removed from the broadcast.
