Soccer News of the Week * Liverpool heads to Old Trafford for a League match against Manchester United on Saturday. The last time the two teams met in League play this season, United’s Patrice Evra accused Liverpool striker Luis Suarez of racial abuse. After a prolific hearing, the FA handed Suarez an eight-game suspension. He returned last Monday for Liverpool’s 0-0 draw against Tottenham. Saturday’s match will be the first time Suarez and Evra share the pitch since the October incident. United is currently second in the Premier League. On Jan. 19, 2002, during a game between the New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders in the AFC Divisional Playoffs at Foxboro Stadium, a little-known rule was applied that may have altered the course of the NFL for the next decade.
