2015 NHL Winter Classic on NBC New Year’s Day features the Chicago Blackhawks at the Washington Capitals outdoors in Nationals Park. NHL hockey returns to the great outdoors for the 2015 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic New Year’s Day tradition. This year has Patrick Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks visiting Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals in Nationals Park. NBC airs the game live Jan. 1 beginning at 1pm ET. Play-by-play commentator Mike “Doc” Emrick, analyst Eddie Olczyk and inside-the-glass analyst Pierre McGuire call the game from Washington, D.C.

The classic Broad Street vs. Broadway rivalry gets renewed as the N.Y. Rangers visit the Philadelphia Flyers in the NHL Thanksgiving Showdown 2014 edition on Friday, Nov. 28, at 1pm ET on NBC. Martin St. Louis, Henrik Lundqvist and the New York Rangers travel to Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center to face Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek and the Flyers in the Black Friday NHL Thanksgiving Showdown.
