The second round conference semifinals begin Sunday, May 1, at 1pm ET on ABC with the Memphis Grizzlies at the Oklahoma City Thunder, followed by the Boston Celtics at the Miami Heat. TNT releases new “Falling Skies” trailer

Today TNT unveiled this new trailer for its cool-looking sci-fi action series Falling Skies, which premieres June 19. The series comes from executive producer Steven Spielberg, and it stars Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood and Drew Roy. The story opens in the chaotic aftermath of an alien attack that has left most of the world completely incapacitated. The few remaining survivors have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task of fighting back.

2011 NCAA Tournament TV schedule

College basketball fans get their first look at the revamped NCAA Tournament, which now features a 68-team field and a new “First Four” round of games, beginning Tuesday, March 15, in Dayton, Ohio, on truTV. Eight teams play March 15-16 for the right to advance to the Second Round (which was previously known as the First Round) March 17-18. Got that? The 60th All-Star Game brings the NBA’s best to the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles for the annual East vs. West exhibition on Sunday, Feb. 20, on TNT. The spectacle is essentially a nightmare for anyone who appreciates defense; the East beat the West 141-139 in last year’s game. (But seriously, who wants to see defense?) Starters for the East are LeBron James, Amar’e Stoudemire, Dwyane Wade, Derrick Rose and Dwight Howard. Starting for the West are Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant, Chris Paul and Yao Ming. 2011 NASCAR racing TV schedules

TV schedules and start times have been announced for the 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series and Camping World Truck Series. FOX again opens coverage of the Sprint Cup Series, with the first 13 points races of the season, including the Daytona 500 on Feb. 20. TNT has coverage of six races beginning in June. ESPN and ABC share 17 races, with 14 of those on ESPN. All but one of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup races airs on ESPN. All three races on ABC are on Saturday nights. The award-winning comedian and syndicated talk show star spends a Christmas in Washington by hosting the annual TNT variety special Friday, Dec. 17. Taped the previous weekend at the National Building Museum in the nation’s capital – before an audience that was slated to include President and Mrs. Obama – the program features Mariah Carey, Annie Lennox, Andrea Bocelli, Matthew Morrison (Glee), Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly) and Maxwell as showcased performers.
