Theresa Caputo, the star of TLC’s series Long Island Medium, says she was 28 when she was first introduced to the possibility that she was a medium. It took another five years for her to actually accept her gift.
“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”
The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

im 14. and i just want to say i lost my stepdaddy 2 weeks ago. he was 46 and he died of a heart attack and he meant the absolute world to me. i had a dream about him last night he was kissing my forehead. is that a sign? is he giving me a message? a signal.
i miss him more and more everyday and i hate having to try to pretend i am happy. he wrote me a letter to me when he moved out 3 weeks before he died. him and my mom were still together they just didnt want to live together till my sister left for college this summer. he wrote me a letter saying i love you and he taught me so many lessons. the last line was take care of mommy when im not there stay sweet my darling. i love you.
i read that and cry.

Theresa I love that you talk to the dead. We all have gifts from God. I died a few years ago and remember all of it. Heaven is our home. I get to visit heaven any time I want. We are here to learn and take information back to what I call the library in heaven. Don’t ever be afraid to die. It is awesome at home, lots of love you see all your family and friends who have gone to the other side. The reason you can’t see them is there are different levels there, time there is so much faster. Pray to the Lord and ask him if you can visit and remember how you felt and what and who you visited. hi theresa I watch ur show everytime its on love I saw u on dr oz today and what u are saying I have felt and do I am writting to cause I have 13 nefew he is able to see my momn who has pasted on may 29 2002 my mom seems to come to and only him were he see her from the time she has pasted away he see her about a week ago he saw her in his math class on thanksgiving he was at my daughters house in tampa and he saw my daughter boyfriend dad who has passed away father day of last year it seems to me nobody belives him but i do was hoping that maybe we can set up a time to see u and beable to contact my mom and bother u are really great hope to hear from u thank u and god bless u

There is noone who can talk to the dead. The bible clearly tells us all that. The only thing that is out there are demons. SHe is truly possessed by the demons. Someone needs to quide teresa to the holy word of God so she can find out how misguided she is. Hers is a very tragic story.

I have been affected by the bombing of Pearl Harbor for quite a long time and recently I was playing a video game with my son and it was dealing with Pearl Harbor and especially since then I go into EXTREME cold chills that are dibilitating, all I can do is try to block myself with my arms and shutter. Do you know who I was in a past life or what happened? I feel like it was almost identical to the movie “Tora Tora Tora” where a guy gets on a machine gun on one of the distroyers and was hit with a bomb. There is more to it, but I’ll stop there. any help?

hello, I would very much like to know anything about how my brother who passed in 2007 at age 62, a brother passed in 2010 at 62, and my mother in 2011 at age 91 are. i miss them so much. I will be 62 this year and sometimes wonder if this will be the year i go. Thanks so much for any help you have for me. But i just want to know if they are in peace.
