How to contact Theresa Caputo, star of TLC’s “Long Island Medium”

Theresa Caputo, the star of TLC’s series Long Island Medium, says she was 28 when she was first introduced to the possibility that she was a medium. It took another five years for her to actually accept her gift.

“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”

The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of  purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

UPDATE 2/1/2013 – The BEST way to contact Caputo is through her new website: www.theresacaputo.com

Her phone number that was previously listed here is no longer in service, so we removed from the post. When we last talked to Theresa (January 2012), she told us the best way to reach her is via her new website at www.theresacaputo.com. This was an update to what TLC previously provided (Longislandmedium@gmail.com). That email address we have tried and have never gotten a response. Her wait time is over two years at this point, due to the popularity of the show.

Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

  1. Theresa,
I watch you show as often as it comes on. I’ve had a all my immediate family pass except my brother, my sister died at 26 from lukemia at Christmas, my little sister died from crib death, my dad at a young age and my best friend who is my mom pasted 6 years ago. I have guilt because she was so sick for the last year and i could not be with her till the last week of her life, she died in her bed in the house we bought together. I miss her so bad. I wish i could just sit and talk to you for some peace in my heart. You have such a wonderful gift, I cry during your whole show. sincerely LaDonna

  2. There is nothing I wish to ask you other than to say “Thank You” for sharing your life with the world. You’re entire family is amazing to watch and what I consider the true “American Family”. Normal home, normal kids, and I nice family I hope others aspire to achieve. The love between each of you is so real and needed in our crazy world. I knew from the first time I saw you that you would go far in show business. Your gift is secondary to the wonderful and funny person that you are. The best of luck to you and your family.

  3. Is there an address I can send you a few new cassette tapes I still have but have no use for? I am a big fan and would like you to have them.

Thank you and I hope you have great success in your life. You certainly deserve it. You have used your gift to help mankind and that’s what life is or should be about.

  14. Hi Theresa. My husband passed and I am having a very difficult time moving on. I have so much guilt that I didn’t do all I could for him, and that I should have stayed at the hospital with him the night he passed. I suffer daily that I failed him in so many ways. 15. Hi Theresa, my name is Megan, and I’m from the East End of Long Island. Last week, Sunday, October 7th 2012 my Uncle passed away from a very rare gallbladder cancer. He passed away sudden and I would love to know if he is alright and if everything is okay where he is. I’m sure my aunt would be pleased to know he is in a great place. In sure you’ve read his obituary in Newsday and the New York Times. He was a very important man to many people, but he was the most important man to my family. You were able to tell him everything and anything, he would always remember and make such a wonderful comment about what you said. Please let me know if you hear of anything from my uncle. He is truly missed and we are still very shocked he is gone! Hope to hear from you soon. xxoo

  17. Hi Teresa,
I live in Vermont, a small state here in the U.S. I would really like a reading from you. It’s hard for me to get to where you live and we don’t have any other mediums near me that I know of. I also need to talk about speaking to the dead. I recently just found out I sort of have this gift also. There are spirits in my house and I’m terrified to sleep at night. I’m 17 years old and I sleep with a night light on. I used to say to my mom I see “shadow creatures” at night. but there is the ghost boy in my house named Noah and he follows me around everywhere: In school, in my car, etc. It’s annoying, sometimes I can ask him to go away if a friend is spending the night and he’ll leave for months on end and then randomly show up again. I would like a reading, but I don’t need one. I just need some advice on my gift.

  19. Hello Theresa,
April 10th 2012 my 22 year old daughter lost her best friend Devon in a horrific motorcycle accident at the young age of 21. She was a young woman who lit up a room with her smile and funny character and despite her hard life she managed to keep a smile on her face. My daughter Brandi has not been the same since and of course misses her immensely. I see that you travel and surprise some individuals with readings and help them move forward from the grief that keeps them chained. Brandi would have dreams of Devon and looked forward to having them because it let her know that she was still around, but sadly it is not the case anymore and Brandi feels the loss even more. I wish I could attach a photo or something that would show you these two girls together. I too miss her very much and wish I could have done things differently and would not have judged this friendship in the beginning. It took something tragic to see the beauty of this young life and how many individuals she touched after her passing. I am ashamed of myself and my pain too is heavy, heavy for my daughter and heavy because I wish I could have said more and done more. I would love to see Brandi see the light again and find peace knowing Devon is ok and still always with her. I hope that this by the grace of God and his hand this would reach you! Brandi loves your show and is always keeping our DVR filled with recordings, we live in California Palm Desert to be exact, and so if you ever plan to travel this far I would love to know when. A heavy hearted mother! Xo’s
