Theresa Caputo, the star of TLC’s series Long Island Medium, says she was 28 when she was first introduced to the possibility that she was a medium. It took another five years for her to actually accept her gift.
“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”
The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

Her wait time is over two years at this point, due to the popularity of the show.
Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

was wondering how n how much to get a reading from Thresa,my parents passed years ago along with our yonger sister whom we never knew she was born with water on the brain,she nvere talked n from her last operation she went blind.She passed in NY she was in the Hospital named Lesworth Village.They buried her in what they called back then Potters field with just a number as a stone or plake.We where just wondering how my sister is.I have never seen her but my oldest sister did once before she passed.Plus our youngest brother passed four years ago with a bad heart. We would like to know that they are ok n to say what we never really got to say before they passed which was that we loved them.I never did get to say I love you to my sister when she passed we where not allowed at the hospital.

I really feel bad for Teresa for dabbling in the occult as she otherwise seems like a nice lady. Anyone can do automatic handwriting and let a spirit take control of what you write like she sometimes does. I saw this done on the Johnny Carson show and knowothers who tried it and it unfortunately worked. There are evil demon spirits that see and hear everything that goes on and they will tell you what you want to know so very willingly. The Bible says not to conjure up and talk to the dead and we shouldn’t. Anyone that wants to risk their mental health and soul can become a medium by letting themselves over to the demonic world. A terrible end will come to those who do this. We had better pray for Teresa as she certainly is deeply involved in the occult tho she acts as if all is of good as if she even thought the truth, she would become insane and unable to live any kind of life unless she fully repented of what she did. Why do her and her friends beat on drums as a ritual etc. sometimes if not to further encurage the demon world to come to them. No thank you, I don’t want any part of this type of occultism, and I feel bad for any who fall for this and don’t know their info came from demons and not really from their loved ones.

Do you ever come to Southern California or do we come to you. I wanted to find out the cost I have several people that have passed, brother, neice, grandparents and my husbands family members have passed as well. I’m a mom of two gorgeous boys and have a great medical career in the military. I lost my brother on 13 February. He was my best friend. His passing is quite a controversy due to how he passed. Since his passing I have had trouble with showing emotion. My latest deployment hasn’t helped. I really need answers so that I may stop spending every waking moment wondering what really happened and feel like my old self again.
