Theresa Caputo, the star of TLC’s series Long Island Medium, says she was 28 when she was first introduced to the possibility that she was a medium. It took another five years for her to actually accept her gift.
“There’s a big difference from when I accepted it to who am I?” Caputo told us. She said she struggled with feeling, “I’m no different than anybody else. Why was I chosen to do this? Why is this my journey?”
The aftermath of 9/11 left her with clarity and a feeling of purpose for what she calls her role in the physical world. Now Caputo spends her days and nights taking her clients on an emotional and spiritual journey with the afterlife. She helps people find closure and/or reconnect some with loved ones who have passed.

Surprisingly, Caputo has built her career on word of mouth only and has done little to no marketing. When asked if she’s ready for what a TV series will bring as far as popularity, Caputo says: “Absolutely not. I still think this is like a school project. It’s so not reality yet for me. My life is overwhelming as it is, as of right now, my waiting list to get an appointment is… I don’t have any availability until January 2013.”

Hello Teresa, I am writing to you as a concerned mother of three beautiful girls. My middle child is currently 9 and a half years old. Since she was very young she has always had a keen sense of spirituality and purpose. She told me at the tender age of four that she is here for a reason, that God brought her to me for a purpose, she just has yet to figure out that reason. Approximately 2 and a half years ago she began receiving uneasy feelings or messages of something to come. She knew that they represented either sickness or death. On five or six occasions she has come to me to tell me that she has a feeling that something bad is about to happen to someone in our family. Within days, sometimes hours, of her telling me this we receive confirmation that we have lost a loved one. She carries a heavy burden for a child so young and feels that it is her fault or that she should be doing something to prevent it from happening. I try to reassure her that it is not her fault but am not sure how to go about it. She is now seeing script and visions as well as spirits quite regularly. She is not afraid and wants them to continue to come to her. I tell her to embrace them and bless them on their journey to the next life hoping to ease her burden. She has so many questions that I cannot answer and although I do not shun her gift, and I tell her to treasure it..that it truly is a gift from God she struggles to understand the reasoning behind why he chose her and not one of her sisters with this gift. I ask you, if you would please, help me to explain all of this to her. Is there a book that would be helpful to me as a parent of such a gifted child or an age appropriate one for her that would help to ease her mind and answer her many questions. She watches your show ALL THE TIME, she idolizes you and hopes to one day meet you. If you could help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated. We have even resorted to asking the spirits to please leave her room at night. I explain that she is only a child and needs her rest, so please do not disturb her..whether it works or not I do not know. I just do not know what to do!! I truly believe in psychic and mediums. I lost my mother when I was only 21 years old. I was close with her and had never lost anyone close to me before. Her death caused me more pain then I could handle. I got angry with god and started drinking and using drugs to take the pain away. Then as the years went by I lost more people very close to me and more and more anger set in. In many ways I should not be alive myself but here I was alive and well. Some mornings I was angry with god that I even woke up. I thought there was no end to my pain of the loss of my loved ones. Then one day I watch TLC and I see this beautiful blond hair woman changing people’s lives in the best of ways! I guess I didn’t really think much about the other side, what it ment, what it was. Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo changed my life in the best of ways. She has saved me, my marriage, my life in the best of ways. If not for her show and the beautiful gift she has I don’t know where I would be right now. I still miss my mother like the air I breath and wanted to go to a show Theresa just did in Saginaw MI this October but was unable to go. I want so badly to hear from my mother and to know she is ok and I will see her again one day! I want to know and hope that she has met my children. There was so much left unsaid between my mother and I and I just need to know she knows how much I love her and how truly sorry I am for the the things I said and did before she passed. I hope that you and your family are all very well.I am a 67 year old woman disabled with Multiple Sclerosis and heart issues. I am a retired former teacher and government administrator, divorced with 3 adult children.
I have experienced the devastating loss of my youngest brother in 1997 who was a young lawyer and family man age 43.
I have written an e-book about this and other paranormal experiences in my life, with information on organic foods which are the best way to improve health. I would like to offer some advice about health which can help Victoria with her digestive issues, as well as enhance the health of everyone. USDA organic foods– fruits, vegetables and juices are now widely available in Hannaford supermarkets, are the purest foods with no toxic GMOs ( genetically modified organisms) and no noxious pesticides, hormones and other additives. These are the purest foods to promote healthy tissues , bones, and organs of the body. They have helped me greatly. Famed physician Dr. Lorraine Day M.D. cured herself of cancer using an organic diet and healthy life style. She has videos entitled ” Cancer Doesn’t Scare Me Any More”, “Drugs Never Cure Diseases” and “Diseases Don’t Just Happen.”
It is also important to stop smoking, and avoid all alcohol, soda and foods and beverages with artifical colors. All of these items are toxic. I have done a lot of research on this including acquiring Federal Regulations proving these items contain lethal lead, mercury arsenic, cadmium, etc.
It is best to avoid tap water which contains toxic chlorine and flouride, and instead to dring Poland Springs Spring water ( not distilled, no flouride. )
The healthiest excercise to do several times a day is sit ups on the floor to promote circulatory health and strengthen heart muscles. ( I was very impressed with Victoria’s acrobatic routines, as well. And Larry and Larry appear agile and workout ). You are very beautiful and intelligent and you have a lovely prescence, and you would benefit from sit ups as a means to enhance health.
Like you, I am wary of heights and high speeds, and for this reason I do not fly, do not go on vehicles of high speed, and do not like elevators. These reservations are snesible. Mediums and sensitives have especially developed Amygdalas– a region of the brain that governs sympathy, conscience and reason. The cerebellum, a region of the brfain that governs physical balance is less developed in mediums and sensitives. Also, it is logical to avoid pplanes, heights and speeds since these are the most dangerous environments defying gravity and produce fatal outcomes.
When my brother tragically passed away, I had a phone discernment with psychic medium George Anderson ( “We Dont’T Die ” ) and he was very accurate about details of my brother’s life. However, I do not agree that our fate is predetermined. I am confident that we can prolong our lives in this dimension with good organic foods and safe activities.
Since my retirement I have become an activist for organic foods, animal rights in factory farms (10 billion innocent animals are suffering in the meat industry ) and saving the environment by converting to renewable energy ( solar, wind and water ) and to stop burning toxic fossile fuel ( oil, coal and gas ) since the earth will run out of oxygen necessary to sustain life in the nexy 80 or so years, if we don’t immediately convert to renewable energy.

I have reached out to college professors for help, but none are interested without upfront money, although I would share winnings @ 50%.
I continue my projects, and have read widely about who controls the earth and all dimensions, including “The Biggest Secret” by British authos and lecturer David Icke.
