What happened to SPEED channel? On Aug. 17, SPEED becomes FOX Sports 1 on all major pay-TV providers. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will now air on FS1.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, at 8am ET, SPEED will become FOX Sports 1, a new national sports network featuring live college football, auto racing, UFC, soccer, news shows and more. In most cases, the FOX Sports 1 channel will be the same channel formerly held by SPEED. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will still air on FS1, including the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, practice and qualifying, and complementary programming like NASCAR Live. Select NASCAR Sprint Cup races will come to FS1 beginning in 2015.

Fox can KISS MY A$$!! I can watch sportscenter all day on any of the ESPN channels, F1 is on NBCSN, and NASCAR sucks A$$!! Speed was ruined when fox bought it and removed “channel” from its title. I want the old “speed channel” back!! Where do I watch Endurance racing, jet boats, snowmobiles, monster trucks, sprint cars, demolition derby, motor cross, and good ole home grown murican drag racing??? FU€K FOX!!! Motorheads unite!!! Abolish mainstream, self serving media!! Give us back our speed channel!!! Baseball,soccer,basketball??? That can be had on sooo many other channels. As a long time watcher of speed channel, its easy to see that corporate GREED has killed speed RIP SPEED BURN IN HELL FOX SPORTS 1!!! I hope all real car guys refuse to watch this new channel and cancel their cable. They believe that showing us some T&A will make it ok. If I want T&A I will go to Hooters!
Cars, motorcycles, monster trucks, boats and planes equals Speed Channel. If it has a motor it belongs on Speed channel. No more Speed no more TV for this family. I remember thinking the same thing when they closed the only Hooters in queens ny why is it that all good things has to go lol smh. I’m a speed junkie and I’ve been watching speed for years and can’t imagine tv without it. I don’t know if you guys feel the same but I think it’s time to show fox that were not interested in what they like we want what we like.

Guess my new favorite channel is Velocity. Fox sports 1 is a sad replacement Already to many ESPN,s in the world. I surely hope it fails and all car guys protest this corporate MONEY decision. How could you do this to us?, we don’t care about stick and ball crap, thats why we watched Speed channel to begin with, I’m a die hard FOX NEWS watcher, but after this , I’ll just have to adjust my viewing in a way that no longer includes FOX ANYTHING, sorry, just the way it is!!!!!!!!
