What happened to SPEED channel? On Aug. 17, SPEED becomes FOX Sports 1 on all major pay-TV providers. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will now air on FS1.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, at 8am ET, SPEED will become FOX Sports 1, a new national sports network featuring live college football, auto racing, UFC, soccer, news shows and more. In most cases, the FOX Sports 1 channel will be the same channel formerly held by SPEED. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will still air on FS1, including the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, practice and qualifying, and complementary programming like NASCAR Live. Select NASCAR Sprint Cup races will come to FS1 beginning in 2015.

there was one automotive based channel on my dish package, and no less than ten sports channels none of which Id ever watched. this, as everything fox does, blows goats
I turn on channel 150 last night and here is Mike Tyson. I wanted to watch speed. There are dozen’s of channels that have sports on them we don’t need another one. Bring back Speed, this sucks!
This blows, my 3yr old son and I loved watching Monster Jam at 2pm our time before I have to go to work, Thanks for nothing once again fox, my son and I hate you.
I can’t beleive Fox did this. This is what happens when someone else thinks they know what is best for everyone that they know nothing about. Real Speed Junkies don’t play soccer! I will not be watch Fox Sports any longer.

Gee I just looked over 15 pages of posts & I must say FOX has screwed the pooch! 99% 0f the posts don’t take kindly to the removal of Speed Channel& most want to cancel their subscriptions. Do the right thing for once,put SPEED back on now!!!!!

The Speed channel was the only channel I looked forward to seeing….the loss will be tremendous…leave it to Fox to make this move…I guess those of us that LOVE anything that has to do with speed have no say in this country….Fox sports lost a viewer….pass it on…
Fox sports 1 sucks ,bring back speed we dont need an all sports channel there is already 5 or 6 of them I dont need my cable service if there is no speed channel, I will be telling my cable service no speed no cable.

I am so angry I can barely stand it. Why would you kill the speed channel when there are so many fans out there? The Hub was a great show, dave despain is gone, you have stripped us racing fans clean. I refuse to buy anything advertised on fs1.
Fox has really pulled off a stupid one this time. Don’t they realize that there are a lot of people out there that simply do not like football, basketball etc. but are devoted fans of motorsports. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING FOX? I for one will never watch anything on Fox Sports 1.
Bring back the speed channel. We have enough channels for football, baseball, etc. This “was” a motorsport only channel before. This SUCKS! I guess it’s time to loose Time Warner…………….

I am really pissed off, you guys killed the speed channel.
Me and my boyfriend would watch a show called Pinks…I actually became hooked on that show and now I cant watqch it, because when u replaced it with that stupid channels , Pinks is no longer on it!Damn you all!
