What happened to SPEED channel? On Aug. 17, SPEED becomes FOX Sports 1 on all major pay-TV providers. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will now air on FS1.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, at 8am ET, SPEED will become FOX Sports 1, a new national sports network featuring live college football, auto racing, UFC, soccer, news shows and more. In most cases, the FOX Sports 1 channel will be the same channel formerly held by SPEED. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will still air on FS1, including the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, practice and qualifying, and complementary programming like NASCAR Live. Select NASCAR Sprint Cup races will come to FS1 beginning in 2015.

Calling my TV company on Monday and canceling my service because they broke their agreement to supply me with SPEED, their were told that this was the only reason I have it.
NO SPEED, SO I DON’T NEED THEIR SERVICE. THANK YOU fOX NETWORK FOR SAVING ME THE MONEY EVERY MONTH I’m sure the cable companies and NASCAR will love you for all the customers they will be losing along with the people that sponsor the cars and tracks that they run on because I went to the track twice a year BUT NO MORE just canceled my tickets for 2014, I know that I’m but one man but how many more are out there like my self that feel like me and will hit them where it hurts IN THEIR BOTTOM PROFIT LINE

On Friday I programmed my DVR on Time-Warner to record MotoGP qualifying at 4 pm, PST, on Speed Channel. When I closed up my shop and went inside to watch the show at 5 pm, there was no recording. It was then that I discovered that Fox had bought Speed Channel and took over today. I was given no notice by Time-Warner, by
Speed or by Fox. As a subscriber who pays for a specific array of channels I think this is dishonest, unfair and shabby on the part of all three. As a MotoGP fan it makes me want to take my business elsewhere, like the Net. Sayonara, Speed. And Fuck Fox.
This really sucks! I see that it doesn’t matter what we want and that we ARE the CUSTOMERS and paying for this JUST DUMP CABLE AND LET OUR WALLETS DO THE TALKING, Lets pick a day and all cancel at once. Then maybe they will get our message. No warning just cancel programing and wait and see if they understand what they have done to us and then we should get a break to get us back!!!! I used to spend quality time with my son watching motorsports, I don’t like and I definitely don’t want my kid watching ultimate fighting. True ultimate fighting takes place on a race track! And where do I find Barret Jackson now? Well I guess Velocity will become my new favorite, I have no intention of watching FOX
Are you serious!!?? THIS FUCKING SUCKS!!! This was my husbands favorite channel. He would be watching every evening and like the other people said every weekend morning!! Where are we going to get to watch barret-jackson,mecum auto shows , gear head with stacy David. We used to be able to watch swamp buggy racing high speed motor boats. I could go on and on and on!!! All this new channnel is going to show us is the same thing other sports channels show with different reporters. We are forced to watch what you want us to watch!!! I am finally serious ready to get rid of what MAINSTREAM TV WANTS ME TO WATCH! tHERE ARE SO MANY OTHER OPTIONS. It just might need a little bit of adjustment and aggravation, but in the end it will all be worth it!

I have been watching car shows Saturday and Sunday mornings for as long as speed has been on.Now we have UFC and sports talk.This is crap.NBC did the same to the versus channel that was mostly hunting shows.The networks are bully’s and forcing this crap on us.I don’t watch NBC sports and I will definitly not watch this channel.I found my hunting shows on other channels and I hope to find my speed car shows somewhere else.Until then I will just watch Spike weekend mornings for car shows.
