What happened to SPEED channel? On Aug. 17, SPEED becomes FOX Sports 1 on all major pay-TV providers. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will now air on FS1.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, at 8am ET, SPEED will become FOX Sports 1, a new national sports network featuring live college football, auto racing, UFC, soccer, news shows and more. In most cases, the FOX Sports 1 channel will be the same channel formerly held by SPEED. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will still air on FS1, including the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, practice and qualifying, and complementary programming like NASCAR Live. Select NASCAR Sprint Cup races will come to FS1 beginning in 2015.

I used to watch SPEED a lot, but then it slowly died when they should have kept it up, too me anyways. Not even interested in watching the new format. Spike TV on morning weekends for my automotive fix. maybe stacy gears will come back on it.

Bring back what we enjoyed. If I wanted to watch the other garbage I would go to ESPN. Here is one of the most biggest Sports (NASCAR) and Fox decides to take it off. Fire the idot that thought of that.
I can’t even believe this!!! SpeedVision was a pioneer. Then they changed to Speed; that’s cool. They knew they were on to something. I loved watching shows that REAL gear heads could relate too. Not just being entertained, but I got so many ideas from that channel. I’m still in shock! I hope somebody starts a push to bring it back!!! I just don’t see myself putting up with Regis F. WTF are they thinking!!!
when you live eat and work on cars the loss of the speed channel gets me pissed there are plenty of channels for couch potatoes to watch football fs1 is going to do away with barett and jacksons auction for superbowl highlights.

I just tuned to my favorite channel to watch car racing, but lo and behold I’m looking at soccer. WTF? Bring my Speed channel back!! Who made this horrible decision anyway. Does RUPERT MURDOCH still own fox? Is he responsible?
Now I will watch nothing on any FOX station. Speed channel was my favorate and Fox 1 sucks. I payed Dish extra to get and I have seen no deductions on my bill.
What I thought was a terrible mistake by my local cable company has turned out to be a terrible mistake by Fox Sports. Speed filled a much needed corner of the market and had my viewership. Unless the shows and races previously aired on Speed are restored….you have lost me as a fan.
I am a car guy and want Speed channel back. there are already more than enough channels with all the other sports covered. give me back speed channel.

Please bring the Speed channel back – this was one of the few reasons why I still get cable. Fox Sports 1 is terrible and I refuse to watch it.
