What happened to SPEED channel? On Aug. 17, SPEED becomes FOX Sports 1 on all major pay-TV providers. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will now air on FS1.
On Saturday, Aug. 17, at 8am ET, SPEED will become FOX Sports 1, a new national sports network featuring live college football, auto racing, UFC, soccer, news shows and more. In most cases, the FOX Sports 1 channel will be the same channel formerly held by SPEED. Many of the auto racing events previously airing on SPEED will still air on FS1, including the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, practice and qualifying, and complementary programming like NASCAR Live. Select NASCAR Sprint Cup races will come to FS1 beginning in 2015.

Seriously??????????? No kidding, you actually took off the only channel that we had on our t.v. all weekend long. Did you people recruit from the Weather Channel? This is great with all the other sports channels they had to take the only one dedicated to Gear Heads. Sports is not the only thing out there let us Gear Heads have back the one channel that we enjoyed.
We have all of those other sports channels and we had one speed channel.Now we have one more channel for me to ignore.you guys and girls just don’t get it. You will not sell me anything on a channel that I don’t watch. What kind of a business decision is that? Wake up!

According to the SportsBusiness Journal, Speed costs about 23 cents each month per subscriber, and Fox is looking to increase that to 80 cents per month.
Fox screwing with sports the WE want. FOX you DO SUCK.
If the sport only takes “one ball” its on TV. You stupid assholes, it takes “two balls to race cars” and no balls to make changes like this.
There is more money bet on sports with one ball, that’s why basketball, baseball, football, and soccer who occupy more channels than racing ever has. Its all about the bet, so only the big money “the high rollers” that control whats on TV.

Great move by Fox to put so many dedicated Speed Channel viewers who watched speed because we love racing and car shows in an uproar. tv certainly did not need another show for all the other sports, there was already enough of them on the air. Maybe some rich person will see the complete mess you have made of this stupid thing fox has done and start up another network for us who enjoyed the hell out of speed channel, someone somewhere would be a hero to put a speed back on the air and blow the hell out of fox 1 ratings to show you what jerks you were for doing such a dumb thing..

I and a whole market of others loved 2 guys garage, gears, Dennis Gage on classic cars, Australian super car races, chop cut rebuild, Roles series and other Speed channel favorites. I am sick of MLB (watching paint dry), NFL and college football. I guess i am in the minority and out of step with massive network appeal and the mega-bucks approach. I will probably drop the package that includes the Fox Sports same, same, same as ESPN network.

I am a Comcast Cable user. Sunday mornings instead of sleeding in I enjoy getting up just to watching the Speed Channel. This morning I turned to the Speed Channel and this FS1. What THE HELL came on. I though this was the last straw with Comcast. They took off one of the last Channels I enjoyed to watch. What’s up?! So I went on the Web and found this. I could not agree more with all the comments not and to come. This not exceptable, I don’t know what to do about it but YOU NEED TO FIX THIS NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
