What happened to Style network? Jerseylicious? Tia & Tamera?

“What happened to Style network?” will be the question of the evening when Esquire Network officially takes over the the 15-year-old network on Monday, Sept. 23 at 9pm ET with the premiere of Esquire’s 80th. Still in question is whether new episodes of Giuliana & Bill, Jerseylicious, Big Rich Texas and Tia & Tamera will find a home on any of NBCU’s other networks. Some of the shows are expected to simply end their run, while a few will most likely be worked into schedules on E!, Bravo or Oxygen.

UPDATE: Style Network TV to relaunch in Fall 2014! See feature.

What happened to Style Network and Giuliana and Bill?E! did confirm plans of airing the most recent seasons of Giuliana & Bill and Tia & Tamera starting in October. E! will begin re-airing Season 3 episodes of Tia & Tamera and already aired episodes of Giuliana & Bill’s sixth season on Tuesday nights starting Oct. 15 at 9pm ET, as well as new episodes of Giuliana & Bill next year. Season 3 of Tia & Tamera actually ended on Style Sunday, Sept. 22, and it’s unknown whether the series will see a fourth season. Oxygen will also be airing a 10-episode marathon of Season 3 of Tia & Tamera beginning Thursday, Sept. 26 at noon ET.

Syndicated series on Style, like Sex and the City, which originally ran on weekends, are interspersed heavily throughout the Esquire schedule, helping fill early morning, late-night and weekend time slots for the new net. Sex and the City, however, is littered all over the NBCU nets — you can catch it on E!, Oxygen and Bravo.

Clean House, which aired for nine seasons on Style, will also show up on Esquire — at least for the first week — filling the Wednesday, Sept. 25 morning block from 6am to 3pm ET.

At launch, Esquire had several original series including Knife Fight, Brew Dogs, Boundless and The Getaway. Similar to Style, Esquire will also help fill its programming schedule with blockbuster movies. The first few weeks, viewers of Esquire can expect titles like Ocean’s Thirteen, Casino Royale, Ghost Rider and Stripes, as well as popular series from Bravo like Million Dollar Listing, Chef Roble and Top Chef, and USA Network series like Psych and Burn Notice.

We will update you with further details on other former Style series as they are announced.

  1. I’m really furious about losing the Style Channel. Style has the best shows — especially the new Hot Listings – Miami. I turned it on, and it’s Esquire! Who the heck wants to see Bill Clinton’s crotch on the cover. I want Style back!

  2. This appears to be a staton for men. Style network was my go to station at night. I tried a few minutes tonight of the new station. I won’t be watching. Disappointing move.

  3. I know for sure my husband will not be watching this so called “Men’s Channel” He keeps it on ESPN or the Laker channel. Style network was the channel I constantly watched. I even DVR G&B and Tia and Tamera. I will certainly not watch this new channel!!

  4. Im not really happy about this channel…I want my style network back I need my jersey fix on sundays…they couldn’t put men’s channel on some other station they better decide on what channel jerseylicious is going to be on

  5. I agree I will not be watching Esquire! I like my Style Network shows. Men don’t watch any but History or sports anyway!!!! And I like to sit down and watch my shows!!!And no warning that this change was going to happen!!!!

  6. Yes, god forbid we have anything representing men or intelligent journalism. And for you dumb dumbs that dont know any better, Esquire never was, is or will be just about men. While we’re at it, why dont we chuck W, Life, and The New York Times too??!! #hateunintelligentpeople

  7. Yes, god forbid we have anything representing men or intelligent journalism. And for you dumb dumbs that dont know any better, Esquire never was, is or will be just about men. #hateunintelligence

  8. I am so upset! I loved how the Style Network had wholesome shows such as Tia & Tamara, Bill and G. Why another guy channel? They have plenty of sports channels and also the travel channel is geared towards them too. This was the one place that I could vegg out like they do with sports. I hope Esquire tanks. Let’s all band together and boycott this change!!! Show this new network that we are million women strong!!!

  9. I’m with everyone else!!! Why would they take the only channel for women away!! I’m so sad that Jerseylicious, Tia and Tamera, and other shows are gone 🙁
    Hope Esquire flops!!!

  10. Oh thank god!! Who gives a @$&! about couples and marriages and kids…how trite and whitepicket commonplace. BOOOORRRIIINNNGGG Jerseyhair??!! Listen to yourselves! People actually consider much less admit to thinking the shows named abovehair, babies, preggers and whatnot is more interesting??!! I for one am delighted and I hope Esquire stays true to class and reputable form and doesnt go down the toilet cable trash tv road like other men’s channels think: Details downslope and Maxim.

The Esquire 80 year anniversary mediamentary was/is fantastic. Like Time for stylish folk.

Get a clue. Get a life. The only thing style was good for was SatC repeats

  11. I am extremely angry about what happened to the Style Network. I will not be watching the new “MAN’S” Network. I definitely will not be purchasing any of their sponsor’s products and would encourage other angry viewers to do the same. To top it off; they are being too stingy with the information concerning what will happen to the programs we women love: All I can say is it seems men ruin everything. Just remember today women hold the purse strings also and we will be holding them quite tightly !!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. This is an outrage. I changed my tv package just to include this channel. There was no notice, NOTHING!!! Guess who is changing their package back. I don’t want Esquire. I want G&B, Tia & Tamera, Big Rich Texas, Jerseylicious. Screw esquire.

  13. I’m with all you other girlfriends! Where are all of our shows? We want them back!! I loved Style Network and hope they get lots of negative responses about the new network. I’m going to miss Jerseylicious and Guliana and Bill. boo!!!!

  14. This is disgusting. You can add a channel for men, to take away our women’s channel. This is not right. No one in my house will be supporting this new network.

  15. Wtf!!!!!!!! I need my Tia and tamera and Bill and guiliana…my escape from life is with them!!! They better be back for a season 4 and we already know B and g got picked up on e…oh and we need the.real too 🙂

  16. I am sooo mad!!! Men already have enough channels to watch! I miss Tia and Tamera, Giulliana and Bill, and Hot Listings Miami!!! I can’t believe this! I will NOT be supporting this change by watching the new network channel!

  17. Boy does this make me mad! I loved the Style network and the original programming it offered. There are already plenty of channels for men- between ESPN, Golf, The Military Channel, etc. Why did that egotistical man have to go and take away one of the only women’s channels? I hope Esquire is an epic failure!

  18. This change is HORRIBLE. Will NOT be watching this channel that’s geared towards men. They should have looked at viewer statistics and demographics before making this move. Horrible timing if they are geared toward male viewers, football season just started. No warning either. Just plain bad business her. I MISS MY HOT LISTINGS MIAMI!!!

  19. This is such crap!! Most of the channels currently airing are already geared towards men!! Why would you take one of the few channels geared towards women away?? No notice. . . Probably because an uproar was expected. So some man gets a promotion and all of a sudden us women are pushed to the back burner. Shame on the network owners and the tv providers for allowing this to go through!!!!
