Currently, the word is that History will be airing shows (including Ancient Aliens, The Universe and Modern Marvels) that previously were on H2.

I have to agree with many others here. Dumping H2 and changing it to a stupid channel like Viceland is ridiculous and makes no sense what so ever. Just another sign of TV Executives Failing. All this does is makes us have less choices in what to watch as they will now air things less do to not enough space. I always had that opportunity to fall back on one or the other between History and H2 when one channel had a show I preferred more. Now we just have one choice which means instead of going to another History Channel we will be going to completely different Network. More than likely their competitor Discovery or the likes.
Anyways… Now I have to remove that channel from my Favorites list and make sure DVR doesn’t record the wrong shows on it. This is so irritating.

I think it was really stupid of whoever to take away H2 and replace it with Viceland!!!! Me and my kids loved to watch Ancient Aliens, the Universe, America Unearthed and many more. Now they have taking them all away. That was a really stupid move. I don’t want my kids watching a show called balls deep or some scripted reality show. Thanks for ruining a good channel
H2 was my favorite channel, interesting and pushed limits of our imagination. BAD MOVE
It’s horrible! Dumped without word and replaced with junk can’t even get interested in. They said for younger target audience. No. Even they don’t want to watch the new channel. Discovey or Smithsonian I guess. History is same programming and no hint of the shows from H2 yet. If anyone wants the crap shown so far it wouldn’t be anyone I associate with.
As near as I can tell I have lost great content like Ancient Aliens, The Universe, Modern Marvels, America Unearthed, How the Earth was Made, World Wars, and Mankind: The Story of Us to name a few on H2. In return I get thought provoking content like Weediquette, Gaycation, F*ck, That’s Delicious, Balls Deep, and Flophouse.
History told us that all of are favorite H2 shows would move to History Channel. I have not found any of mine in the lineup. Nothing wrong with the content on History, I like Pawn Stars and some of the other shows they have, but where the hell did my H2 shows go?
I refuse to pay for the crap they have put on H2. Thanks History Channel, I had been considering dumping my Dish subscription, but kept it just for H2. Now I have no reason to keep it.

We don’t need another station of trying to conform its viewers to the masses. I find it interesting that H2 has been deleted altogether from American mainstream but is still available in other countries. Thanks A & E, I just found a final reason to cut my cable altogether.

Agree! H2 was my favorite channel. Ancient Aliens and America Unearthed among others were the shows I primarily watched. Viceland is just junk.
It just sucks plain and simple sucks
I clearly remember saying to myself “sure I don’t mind paying for H2, it is a good channel with out all the crap reality shows” and so I sent in my monthly payment. What I don’t remember saying was “sure get rid of something I enjoy watching, replace it with garbage, and I will continue to pay you for something I don’t want!” The way I see it, you should either put H2 back on, or lower my bill.
This new viceland channel is a horrible replacement for H2! What were they thinking? Put this viceland crap on Logo 254!, that’s were it belongs. I’m pissed that my favorite channel has been reduced to pot heads, overeating indulgers and some balls thing!! Wtf? How do you go from great programming to this sh*t?

The only channel I watched now its gone!!! Directv just lost 103 dollar’s a month from me. Oh last month was 97..they went up for some reason..screw this crap…already canceled my internet!!! Back to the woods I go…good grief!!
We don’t want our shows bunched among the crappy reality shows on History We want our H2 back. Viceland is vulgar, I will not let my kids watch it. I have already started sending emails to your corporate sponsors for viceland demanding they get our H2 back. If you wanted viceland add it to your line up, but don’t let it take the place of one of one of our favorite channels.

Viceland is garbage. H2 was one of the few channels I would watch. Cable making it very easy for to become extinct. Time to switch to an HD antenna and stop paying for garbage tv.

Now I know that there are more people than just myself that are pissed off with the dropping of my favorite programs on H2. Even if repeated the learning process was still in play with surprises of what I missed hearing or understanding the last time I saw the program. Viseland is crap along the Pickers and other programs conditioning the viewer that it is Ok to exploit our natural resources to put food on the table. I am not into reality fake shows or News Channels that repeat 1 to 4 stories on a 24 hour cycle. So the last link of Paid-TV to provide challenges to the imagination, questioning, quality education for the young and old has de-generated to nothing but shit heads programs to create in totality a society of mindless slaves to the Powers To Be ……. The Matrix is well and Alive, and there is no red pill !!!!!

And with all the ratings being easily monitored, it is hard to believe that anyone could review them and think Viceland crap TV would ever beat H2
I may go OTA as well, but they get you with the Firestick – I couldn’t watch History unless I subscribed through my provider, so they got me back only because I wanted to watch the History Channel – that was it!

I fully understand. Not to mention when I got dish I paid for a certain package I wanted but they keep taking away channels and adding stupid crap I don’t want. Might have to drop dish all together
It would be one thing if I could actually FIND the H2 programming on History so I could redirect my kids when they go to put the station on, but I just went a week deep through the programming guide and none of it is showing up anywhere in the programming for the History Channel. “The Universe” used to be a show my kids and I LOVED to watch together. Now my 7 year old puts on H2 to see if “his” show is on and gets accosted by people throwing gang signs and tokin’ hard on a blunt. This is beyond disgusting and, because of it, I’m boycotting both freakin’ stations. I’ll find “The Universe” streaming somewhere instead of watching it on cable, or buy the frickin’ mega collection on Amazon and be done with patronizing the channels for good after that purchase.
