“The Colbert Report” announces guests for final week

After tonight, there will only be four more episodes of Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report left, as the series will end on Dec. 18 after a nine-year run. Stephen Colbert will be taking over CBS’ Late Show for the retiring David Letterman later next year. Today, Comedy Central announced who the guests will be for the final week of The Colbert Report. The 2015 Golden Globe nominations for the 72nd installment of the ceremony were announced this morning by Kate Beckinsale, Peter Krause, Paula Patton and Jeremy Piven. Greer Grammer, daughter of Kelsey Grammer, was on hand as Miss Golden Globe 2015, following a tradition where a daughter or son of one of Hollywood’s most respected actors is selected to assist at the Golden Globes. David Letterman’s final “Late Show” hosting date announced

CBS and Worldwide Pants Incorporated, David Letterman’s production company, announced today that Letterman will host his final broadcast of Late Show with David Letterman on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Leslie Moonves, president and CEO of the CBS Corporation, said in a release, “David Letterman has given to all of us a remarkable legacy of achievement and creative brilliance that will never be forgotten. Today, the nominees for the 46th NAACP Image Awards were announced in Beverly Hills, Calif. Tracee Ellis Ross of ABC’s new hit black-ish, herself a nominee (black-ish has six nominations overall), made the announcement, along with Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin), nominee Alfred Enoch (How to Get Away With Murder), nominee Aja Naomi King (How to Get Away With Murder) and nominee Tessa Thompson (Dear White People).
