Legendary singer Barbra Streisand will be making her first late-night talk show appearance as a guest in over 50 years, according to NBC, when she appears on the network’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Sept. 15. Streisand will be the only featured guest on that night’s show, which a release says will be “a night of talk, comedy and performance to celebrate the upcoming release of her new album Partners.” Streisand’s new Partners album will be released the day after her Tonight Show appearance, on Sept. 16. Ken Burns’ latest historical documentary (and certainly not the last; he said at a recent press conference that he is working on seven other films right now) is, according to Burns and collaborator Geoffrey C. Ward, the first project to intertwine the stories of Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt into one family history. FXX airing The Simpsons music-themed marathon

It’s not up to its epic, 12-day marathon of the entire series that aired a few weeks back, but FXX’s latest stunt related to The Simpsons prizes quality over quantity, when it comes to episodes. A four-hour, eight-episode marathon devoted to standout music-themed episodes of the classic series will air Sept. 11 from 8pm-12am ET/PT on FXX. President Barack Obama will address the nation on Sept. 10 at 9pm ET, from the State Floor of the White House. ASPiRE expands coverage of HBCU football

ASPiRE announced that when its coverage of Historically Black College & University (HBCU) sports begins on Sept. 6, it will be expanding to broadcast a total of 11 live and encore HBCU football games. ASPiRE’s coverage of the HBCU football games will air Saturdays, Sept. 6-Nov. 15, and consist of six live games, with three intra-collegiate matchups that are exclusive to the network. The live HBCU football games on ASPiRE will include the Inaugural Classic (Alabama State vs. Tennessee State), the annual Tuskegee-Morehouse Classic, and the annual CIAA Championship Game.
