Barbra Streisand to appear on “The Tonight Show” for first late-night guest appearance in decades

Legendary singer Barbra Streisand will be making her first late-night talk show appearance as a guest in over 50 years, according to NBC, when she appears on the network’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Sept. 15. “The Roosevelts” is another winning documentary from Ken Burns

Ken Burns’ latest historical documentary (and certainly not the last; he said at a recent press conference that he is working on seven other films right now) is, according to Burns and collaborator Geoffrey C. Ward, the first project to intertwine the stories of Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt into one family history. It’s not up to its epic, 12-day marathon of the entire series that aired a few weeks back, but FXX’s latest stunt related to The Simpsons prizes quality over quantity, when it comes to episodes. ASPiRE announced that when its coverage of Historically Black College & University (HBCU) sports begins on Sept. 6, it will be expanding to broadcast a total of 11 live and encore HBCU football games. ASPiRE’s coverage of the HBCU football games will air Saturdays, Sept. 6-Nov. 15, and consist of six live games, with three intra-collegiate matchups that are exclusive to the network.
