“Brick Like Me”: Photos from The Simpsons LEGO episode

Proving again that the good people at LEGO have established a marketing department within my brain, FOX’s Sunday, May 4 (8pm ET/PT), episode of The Simpsons will have a special LEGO-themed show. Conveniently, it’s also timed to the launch of a Simpsons line of LEGO minifigure and building sets. In “Brick Like Me,” Homer wakes up in a world where his family and everyone in Springfield are made of LEGO in the series’ milestone 550th episode. We’ll have to see if there’s a reference to Blockos. Photos from The Simpsons LEGO episode: The Simpson family at breakfast brickfast. Vegetarian bricks […]

Fourth and final season of “The Boondocks” coming to Adult Swim

Still enjoying re-airs of The Boondocks on Saturday nights, I had been wondering if the animated series was still in production, and according to a release today from Adult Swim, it is. The fourth and final season of The Boondocks will begin April 21 at 10:30pm ET/PT. However, this season is going to be produced without the involvement of Aaron McGruder — who created the series and the original comic strip on which it is based. According to the release, a mutually agreeable production schedule could not be determined. I hope McGruder’s lack of involvement does not diminish what has […]

Method Man talks “Chozen” role, and why people sometimes call him Cliff Smith

In his latest project, Method Man is playing a familiar role, that of a rapper. And he’s happy to be doing it, making an appearance at the Television Critics Association press tour this week to promote (and sometimes defend) FX’s controversial animated series Chozen — airing at 10:30pm Mondays — though he’s not a regular cast member. He gives voice to Phantasm, the duplicitous MC who framed the lead character for multiple criminal violations that sent Chozen (Bobby Moynihan) to prison for 10 years. But the former Wu-Tang Clan member, who has nabbed roles in projects as varied as The […]

5 ways Brian comes back to life on “Family Guy”

5 ways Brian comes back to life on Family Guy: So you watched Sunday’s episode of Family Guy in which Brian got hit by a car during a game of street hockey and died, and then kept watching waiting for him to be resurrected somehow at the end. Only the end came, Brian was still dead, and WHAAAAAAAAAA? Did they really kill Brian? Are we really now stuck with Poochie Vinnie as the Griffin family dog? Fans of the show are already up in arms, offering a petition to bring Brian back. Conspiracy theories abound: Did Seth MacFarlane kill off […]
