What happened to Style network? Jerseylicious? Tia & Tamera?

“What happened to Style network?” will be the question of the evening when Esquire Network officially takes over the the 15-year-old network on Monday, Sept. 23 at 9pm ET with the premiere of Esquire’s 80th. Still in question is whether new episodes of Giuliana & Bill, Jerseylicious, Big Rich Texas and Tia & Tamera will find a home on any of NBCU’s other networks. Some of the shows are expected to simply end their run, while a few will most likely be worked into schedules on E!, Bravo or Oxygen.

UPDATE: Style Network TV to relaunch in Fall 2014! See feature.

What happened to Style Network and Giuliana and Bill?E! did confirm plans of airing the most recent seasons of Giuliana & Bill and Tia & Tamera starting in October. E! will begin re-airing Season 3 episodes of Tia & Tamera and already aired episodes of Giuliana & Bill’s sixth season on Tuesday nights starting Oct. 15 at 9pm ET, as well as new episodes of Giuliana & Bill next year. Season 3 of Tia & Tamera actually ended on Style Sunday, Sept. 22, and it’s unknown whether the series will see a fourth season. Oxygen will also be airing a 10-episode marathon of Season 3 of Tia & Tamera beginning Thursday, Sept. 26 at noon ET.

Syndicated series on Style, like Sex and the City, which originally ran on weekends, are interspersed heavily throughout the Esquire schedule, helping fill early morning, late-night and weekend time slots for the new net. Sex and the City, however, is littered all over the NBCU nets — you can catch it on E!, Oxygen and Bravo.

Clean House, which aired for nine seasons on Style, will also show up on Esquire — at least for the first week — filling the Wednesday, Sept. 25 morning block from 6am to 3pm ET.

At launch, Esquire had several original series including Knife Fight, Brew Dogs, Boundless and The Getaway. Similar to Style, Esquire will also help fill its programming schedule with blockbuster movies. The first few weeks, viewers of Esquire can expect titles like Ocean’s Thirteen, Casino Royale, Ghost Rider and Stripes, as well as popular series from Bravo like Million Dollar Listing, Chef Roble and Top Chef, and USA Network series like Psych and Burn Notice.

We will update you with further details on other former Style series as they are announced.

  1. Not happy at all! Loved and watched the G & B show every week, Tia and Tamara andny more. Not a smart decision on the Style network bosses.
I pray oxygen picks up all the shows.

  2. seriously what are you thinking not keeping up w what works, how can you take away the style network and replace it w male driven shows…. men are watching footbal this time of year not brew dogs or male driven movies like casino!!!. BRING STYLE BACK!!!!!

  3. It is a shame they took off the Style Network. They at least should have did a survey before they took it off. I have contacted NBC and Verizon to let them know how upset I am. They can have two channels for the men and the women. THIS IS A SAD DAY!!! I AM NOT HAPPY.

  4. Hope these male-centric fools did their demographic work. Makes little to no sense to take a network that is obviously focused on women and take a 180 to make it basically for men. Am sure their viewer numbers will drop, cuz they certainly won’t continue to have many women watching…and aren’t women more likely to watch TV (other than sports) than men? Trust either Bravo, E! or Oxygen (esp. latter) is smart enough to pick up shows like Hot Listings Miami, Jerseylicious, etc.

  5. This just ruined my day….we are the viewers and we don’t like this change at all!….BRING STYLE BACK….the least they could do is keep the same programming…now it’s a new channel with different shows…I’m definitely skipping this channel now!!!

    • I agree. The former Style Network channel is no longer one of the channels I will view. Tia and Tamara was one of my “not to miss” shows. Isn’t there enough testosterone-fueled nonsense on television already? Women, we’ll have to be like Oprah and start our own network. Money talks,… walks! Which is what this new esquire network had made me do. Walk away from this channel.

  6. How am I going to follow Katrina Campin’s relationship on Hot Listings Miami?!? She just met this great guy and now the show abruptly ends!!!!!!

  7. WTF this
Esquire channel sucks major balls. Yawn, so boring and unappealing.Clearly the person choosing the new programming has no commen sense.I mean change the name from Style to Esquire if you must but don’t take our Jerseylicious, Giuliana and Bill and Tia and Tamara. You’d think you’d be smarter and want to keep your audience not run us off. I’m done with this sorry as channel bu buy…

  8. I was really confused when I came home today from work wanting to watch the Style network only to find it surprisingly missing from the lineup. I was so pissed that I immediately contacted my cable carrier with a barrage of questions. It’s sad that certain entities who are wealthy can monopolize in this way. I’m truly going to miss watching Tia & Tamera’s show and hope they find a home on another channel. This whole thing is disgusting and impractical in my opinion.

  9. So upset…ridiculously stupid shows on esquire….go away and bring back the style network shows! Stupid stupid stupid to change before the season finales. I want bill and guliana back! You totally lost a huge audience! Good luck with the NFL competition…real men watch football 🙂

  10. I agree!!!! I love Hot Listings Miami…..this whole esquire network is not right. I hate every show you are putting on. And no forwarning. I hope it tanks big time. Its awful.

  11. Please E! and/or Bravo…resume airing Giuliana & Bill and Hot Listings Miami ASAP! Bad move replacing the Style Network with Esquire!

  12. what the f*** was people thinking this is total b******* I hope your new TV Esquire shows all tank and you lose billions of dollars bring the Style Network back dumbass
