What happened to Style network? Jerseylicious? Tia & Tamera?

“What happened to Style network?” will be the question of the evening when Esquire Network officially takes over the the 15-year-old network on Monday, Sept. 23 at 9pm ET with the premiere of Esquire’s 80th. Still in question is whether new episodes of Giuliana & Bill, Jerseylicious, Big Rich Texas and Tia & Tamera will find a home on any of NBCU’s other networks. Some of the shows are expected to simply end their run, while a few will most likely be worked into schedules on E!, Bravo or Oxygen.

UPDATE: Style Network TV to relaunch in Fall 2014! See feature.

What happened to Style Network and Giuliana and Bill?E! did confirm plans of airing the most recent seasons of Giuliana & Bill and Tia & Tamera starting in October. E! will begin re-airing Season 3 episodes of Tia & Tamera and already aired episodes of Giuliana & Bill’s sixth season on Tuesday nights starting Oct. 15 at 9pm ET, as well as new episodes of Giuliana & Bill next year. Season 3 of Tia & Tamera actually ended on Style Sunday, Sept. 22, and it’s unknown whether the series will see a fourth season. Oxygen will also be airing a 10-episode marathon of Season 3 of Tia & Tamera beginning Thursday, Sept. 26 at noon ET.

Syndicated series on Style, like Sex and the City, which originally ran on weekends, are interspersed heavily throughout the Esquire schedule, helping fill early morning, late-night and weekend time slots for the new net. Sex and the City, however, is littered all over the NBCU nets — you can catch it on E!, Oxygen and Bravo.

Clean House, which aired for nine seasons on Style, will also show up on Esquire — at least for the first week — filling the Wednesday, Sept. 25 morning block from 6am to 3pm ET.

At launch, Esquire had several original series including Knife Fight, Brew Dogs, Boundless and The Getaway. Similar to Style, Esquire will also help fill its programming schedule with blockbuster movies. The first few weeks, viewers of Esquire can expect titles like Ocean’s Thirteen, Casino Royale, Ghost Rider and Stripes, as well as popular series from Bravo like Million Dollar Listing, Chef Roble and Top Chef, and USA Network series like Psych and Burn Notice.

We will update you with further details on other former Style series as they are announced.

  1. Get rid of ESQ or bring back Style. ESQ will not retain the same audience as Style. Men have Spike, USA, and a host of other networks. You’ve just forced be back to Lifetime movies on the weekend. Ridiculous decision. What will you air next? Hillbilly Hand Fishing?

  2. Was something broken? We’re things just going to good?Brilliant idea morons! My husband will not be watching any of these shows on Esquire.Really hard to compare to A&E,Spike,AMC,ETC.Do the right thing and bring Style back.

  3. If it’s not broke leave it alone. I will never watch the new channel it has nothing on it that I watch. Bring style back and the shows that I love to watch.

  4. O.M.G. the network feels they need more male programing, even though they had such a loyal following for Jerseylicious, Big Rich Texas and Atlanta etc. If you have any influence with the bigwigs please let them know we need our shows to continue somewhere!

  5. WOMEN OF THE WORLD LETS RAOR! Lets show these men of will that WE are not to be messed with and get them where it will hurt the most THEIR WALLET. Please cancel your cable today. I have been without cable for 3 months now and it is exhilarating.

  6. Hate this change. Guess I will save $50 a month and drop to minimum service. Maybe another carrier will fix this. Dish has been so disappointing.

    • It has nothing to do with Dish. NBCU just changed their station to something they think will make more money. Blame the owner, not distributor.

  7. I am so mad I loved style that was one of my absolute favorite tv channels I watched it alll the time and I am not going to be watching esquire network at all! I have no interest!! I am praying that the tv shows like Tia and tamera and Giuliana & bill will return on a different tv network because I loved those shows!!!!!

  8. I asked my carrier if I could drop the ‘ new ‘ channel. I can’t, so the next best thing is to NEVER turn to the channel.

  9. I’m not interested in the new network. I just want to know what network will pick up G&B, Tia and Temara and the other shows I watch faithfully. If E is smart they will pick up these shows. They will increase their viewers tremendously.

  10. I am SO UPSET & ANGRY that Esquire has taken over STYLE!! Style is for women, and Esquire is a MEN’S brand!!WTF?? I will b boycotting Esquire. I am NOT interested in anything they have to offer. BRING BACK STYLE NETWORK!! G&B, Tia & Tamera, Jerseylicious, Big Rich Tx & Atlanta, and Resale Royalty…. Please tell me I can find all the shows on another channel:( plus many of those shows are supposed to start back up for Fall. What can all the loyal Style fans do??

  11. I’m just furious about the switch, and that there wasn’t any notice. If I would have known this was happening I wouldn’t have wasted time calling my dish provider and ripping them a new one. I checked out the esquire network and I wish I hadn’t it was the biggest waste of my time! If you can’t find a spot for the shows they’re airing on channels like ESPN, Ovation (for the old movies), or whatever channel the red neck huntin men watch than you don’t need them cuz surprise they’re EVERYWHERE else! You don’t even need to watch ESPN your local networks air that crap too and how many of them air women’s television that isn’t considered “trashy?” Oh wait that was the Style Network and now it’s gone! I hope esquire execs are ready for a bunch of really pissed off women and men for that matter cuz let me tell you we’re comin for you if you don’t change it back!

  12. I would like it if you would bring back sytle network. I totally enjoy my down time to watch G & B and Tia & Tamara. Esquire can take a hike. Why do you have to change what people like to watch?

  13. This is disgusting to take STYLE NETWORK ! Isn’t there enough men channels with all the sports. We need style back!!

  14. I’m with other people in their comments that was one network I could enjoy on weekends just leave on catch up with all sorts of shows I enjoyed watching Giuliana and Bill the twins etc. so disappointed. We don’t need another ESPN Channel. Sorry guys, this was the only girly channel that we can enjoy watching Over and over again and never get sick of the reruns. I’m so boycotting it!

  15. Totally disgusted with the removal of Style network, primarily Guilana and Bill. This disgusting Esquire Network is trash.

  16. I too seen the shows lined up for this channel and I will not be watching this crap either. I loved the shows on Style Tia and Tamera, G&B, and Chicagolicious.I know this will be a terrible failure, and I hope my favorite shows turn up on another station.

  17. Just found this blog site; was wondering what happened to Style network. I am also very disappointed, enjoyed watching G&B, Tia & Tamera, Empire Girls. Hope E! picks these shows up too.

  18. I just looked at the Esquire schedule and I would not watch one of the shows on it. There are several stations I could watch (and I don’t)old movies on or could stream them. Just one more cable station I will not be watching. Time to give up on cable and start streaming what I want to watch. Pay way too much for less choices. Ya think they would of done some market research. Don’t see many positive remarks for this change. Bring back the Style lineup!
