Currently, the word is that History will be airing shows (including Ancient Aliens, The Universe and Modern Marvels) that previously were on H2.

I am devastated to see DISH NETWORK has dropped H2 and replaced it with VICELAND. WHY is it every year Dish decides to screw with their channel line up. Dish advertise how great they are over Directv but does not state “channels subject to change at their ignorance”.

Another nail driven into the skull of the human race! Obviously we need more (from a brief glimpse) reality shows which have no basis in any reality I know. Ive watched MTV go from music to W.T.F. as the learning channel is a lesson in anti – educational, Discovery with absolutely nothing to discover, Nat Geo with its list of shows about prisons worldwide, I will now wait patiently for Animal planet to discard all shows that have to do with animals. Couldn’t agree more with all previous posts on this bullshit change, replacing an entertaining/educational ch. like H2 with this appalling crap known as “Viceland”..WTF Disney/A&E….? Congratulations, you suck, and are now just another shining example for America’s rapid decline into depravity by selling out and cashing in.( By the way ….kudos on the sneaky, lightning fast; and last but not least, obnoxious takeover).You did all this without so much as a heads up as far as I know, and no preliminary market Census as to what your massive viewership and demographic wanted or thought about,concerning a possible cancelation of a popular channel.I would love to know what happened to all those new and continuing shows, contracts, and people affected when the rug was pulled out from beneath them. The fact that this crap known as “Viceland” became a Pay channel does not elude anyone either you greedy corporate pigs.Not too many channels/networks with distinction,honor, and worthy insightful programming left these days and now just one more reason why paying for already expensive cable seems to be a financial mistake. Worst decision in all of History (pun intended) to remove H2 and replace it with some BS that doesn’t even belong on my tv .. Something needs to be done and someones head deserves to roll for this crap. Everyone needs to blow up social media pages for A & E .. Disney .. and this Viceland crap and bash them for taking H2 away. That’s the only thing that might help .. Stupid cable providers won’t listen or help and A & E will not listen to subscribers. Well, the comment I saw about the complaints not being any more than normal is a fallacy. I’m here to tell you that the email for A&E was backed up so far, their mailbox was full for days. What really gets me is that Disney gave them the start-up money, 200 million, to get the Viceland Channel started. That Disney was somehow complicit in this whole deal is unbelievable, to say the least. Be advised that H2 (History Channel 2) is still available in over 60 markets outside the U.S. Just hammer your cable/satellite company, A&E and Disney plus their Facebook pages about this Viceland channel and how abhorrent it really is and that a return of H2 should happen immediately, if not sooner. It is not fit for children or young teens and should only be available on pay per view. Make your thoughts known to the people that count and don’t just take this as another stupid stockholder pleaser because Viceland was created for millennials.

I used to watch h2 all the time. there isn’t anything on viceland that I am interested in. Especially liked Ancient Aliens. Haven’t seen that on H1 anytime. Ruined a great channel!
