“What happened to Style network?” will be the question of the evening when Esquire Network officially takes over the the 15-year-old network on Monday, Sept. 23 at 9pm ET with the premiere of Esquire’s 80th. Still in question is whether new episodes of Giuliana & Bill, Jerseylicious, Big Rich Texas and Tia & Tamera will find a home on any of NBCU’s other networks. Some of the shows are expected to simply end their run, while a few will most likely be worked into schedules on E!, Bravo or Oxygen.

E! did confirm plans of airing the most recent seasons of Giuliana & Bill and Tia & Tamera starting in October. E! will begin re-airing Season 3 episodes of Tia & Tamera and already aired episodes of Giuliana & Bill’s sixth season on Tuesday nights starting Oct. 15 at 9pm ET, as well as new episodes of Giuliana & Bill next year. Season 3 of Tia & Tamera actually ended on Style Sunday, Sept. 22, and it’s unknown whether the series will see a fourth season. Oxygen will also be airing a 10-episode marathon of Season 3 of Tia & Tamera beginning Thursday, Sept. 26 at noon ET.
Syndicated series on Style, like Sex and the City, which originally ran on weekends, are interspersed heavily throughout the Esquire schedule, helping fill early morning, late-night and weekend time slots for the new net. Sex and the City, however, is littered all over the NBCU nets — you can catch it on E!, Oxygen and Bravo.
Clean House, which aired for nine seasons on Style, will also show up on Esquire — at least for the first week — filling the Wednesday, Sept. 25 morning block from 6am to 3pm ET.
At launch, Esquire had several original series including Knife Fight, Brew Dogs, Boundless and The Getaway. Similar to Style, Esquire will also help fill its programming schedule with blockbuster movies. The first few weeks, viewers of Esquire can expect titles like Ocean’s Thirteen, Casino Royale, Ghost Rider and Stripes, as well as popular series from Bravo like Million Dollar Listing, Chef Roble and Top Chef, and USA Network series like Psych and Burn Notice.

Let me get this straight, you take over a network that has really well received shows, and not take away the G4 station that the best thing it had going for it is reruns of Quantum Leap and Heroes, you have got to be kidding me. Please bring all the shows from the Style network…..
Agreed it makes absolutely NO sense. I usually don’t comment on issues but I’m pissed.
I was a little concerned about Style ntwk ending so abruptly as well, however the shows that are being picked up by E are fine. The others were mindless anyway and a waste of time when you could be spending time with your family or improving yourself anyway. I checked some of the shows on Esquire and they were great. Food, beverage, travel…they were witty, funny and educational. Women, stop complaining. Men don’t have as many channels as we do and maybe you could spend your time actually learning something or watching something your man enjoys also. Bravo Esquire.

As everyone else has said doing away with an entire network and the shows we love is unbelievable. Men have tons of newtworks to watch. Why take away shows that are already popular?? The guy from esquire sucks!!!

Who made this decision? Style network was one of my favorites. I’m with you. Are we being punked? When I clicked on Women heading on Esq it showed half naked women not programing for women.We’ve gone from programs that women enjoy to exploiting women. Shame on someone.
I can’t believe they just stopped airing Hot Listings Miami… and the new season of Jersylicious that I was looking forward to watch is now gone too. Not cool at all.

This is completely unfair and biased. They replaced Style instead of G4. They decided to keep the male centric channel what a surprise, since we need more men’s programming during football season. I am shocked and disappointed.
I am not happy with this at all!!!!!! I can’t believe they took the Style network away. When I started an account with my local cable provider I specifically signed up for the package that included the Style network, now that the channel no longer exists I called my provider to down grade as crazy as this sounds but if I drop to a lower package my monthly bill will go up $25 dollars before taxes…unbelievable. if anyone has any information on Jerseylicious please let me know! I see they talked about a few programs airing on this espuire crap and also airing on other channels but did not mention Jerseylicious so if anyone has any info please let me know! Thanks!!

I miss Style so much! What is this Esquire network with fascinating programming like ‘Knife Fight’ and ‘Brew Dogs’? what was once a staple in my daily viewing is now being deleted from my favorite channels on the remote. Add my household to the list of lost viewers.

Why change a good thing? Oh of course, we need another channel for “men” like they will watch it! I was so looking forward to Big Rich Texas and all the other shows I watch on the style network. Never mind asking what the viewers think, just “poof” change it all! wtf!

This is total BS, we watch all our shows and it’s basically go figure it out……really really wtf. Brittany’s right who every thought that was a good idea should be fired,we have enough “mens shows” already.
I don’t understand why Esquire didn’t simply just keep the original programs from Style and then incorporate their new ones to make a hybrid station. That way, they could maintain the existing audience that has been loyal to Style, but also appeal to new viewers, as well. It seems like a poor decision to alienate all the Style network fans that have been watching for years. Now I can’t imagine to whom this network will appeal…certainly not me.
I couldn’t agree more…I’m not in the t.v. Business but it seems so obvious not to alienate present viewers, because of this it truly turns off a person from wanting to watch the channel. If Oprah had issues with her OWN channel what makes Esquire think they can just change everything without positive advertisement and letting the viewers of style know that it will be changing. Bad Move.. We are out…
