What happened to Style network? Jerseylicious? Tia & Tamera?

“What happened to Style network?” will be the question of the evening when Esquire Network officially takes over the the 15-year-old network on Monday, Sept. 23 at 9pm ET with the premiere of Esquire’s 80th. Still in question is whether new episodes of Giuliana & Bill, Jerseylicious, Big Rich Texas and Tia & Tamera will find a home on any of NBCU’s other networks. Some of the shows are expected to simply end their run, while a few will most likely be worked into schedules on E!, Bravo or Oxygen.

UPDATE: Style Network TV to relaunch in Fall 2014! See feature.

What happened to Style Network and Giuliana and Bill?E! did confirm plans of airing the most recent seasons of Giuliana & Bill and Tia & Tamera starting in October. E! will begin re-airing Season 3 episodes of Tia & Tamera and already aired episodes of Giuliana & Bill’s sixth season on Tuesday nights starting Oct. 15 at 9pm ET, as well as new episodes of Giuliana & Bill next year. Season 3 of Tia & Tamera actually ended on Style Sunday, Sept. 22, and it’s unknown whether the series will see a fourth season. Oxygen will also be airing a 10-episode marathon of Season 3 of Tia & Tamera beginning Thursday, Sept. 26 at noon ET.

Syndicated series on Style, like Sex and the City, which originally ran on weekends, are interspersed heavily throughout the Esquire schedule, helping fill early morning, late-night and weekend time slots for the new net. Sex and the City, however, is littered all over the NBCU nets — you can catch it on E!, Oxygen and Bravo.

Clean House, which aired for nine seasons on Style, will also show up on Esquire — at least for the first week — filling the Wednesday, Sept. 25 morning block from 6am to 3pm ET.

At launch, Esquire had several original series including Knife Fight, Brew Dogs, Boundless and The Getaway. Similar to Style, Esquire will also help fill its programming schedule with blockbuster movies. The first few weeks, viewers of Esquire can expect titles like Ocean’s Thirteen, Casino Royale, Ghost Rider and Stripes, as well as popular series from Bravo like Million Dollar Listing, Chef Roble and Top Chef, and USA Network series like Psych and Burn Notice.

We will update you with further details on other former Style series as they are announced.

  1. I think style being taken away should have never been done. If they don’t turn it back I and I will not turn to style ever again and also I will protest until the end of the Earth!!!!!!!!!!

  2. How can a network who has had a loyal following announce shows that are supposed to air within the next two weeks just be taken over. What about all the shows their loyal audience has been looking forward to. All I have to say is the shows (especially the new seasons) need to air on at least a different network and I will not be watching the “new” esquire network

  3. I hate this new network. How is going to a “guy” network going to attract a female audience. I whole thing was not done correctly and quite frankly I will NEVER WATCH ESQUIRE. Please bring back Style. I watched all their shows. Ladies: Lets all boycott Esquire!

    • No fear. With or without boycotting I wouldn’t be watching it. Nothing interests me. There is no rhyme or reason for this switch. Bad move NBCU. Great way to turn off your viewers – your LOYAL viewers. We can only hope you take off some of the crap that’s on Bravo and replace those with Style’s best rated shows. You obviously didn’t give a damn about your Style viewers, you don’t listen to your dissatisfied Bravo viewers. I’m watching more and more Lifetime, History, Discovery, TLC, HGTV than ever before. Are you trying to ditch your loyal viewers? What are you going for – a government bailout? LOLOL

    • @ Lisette Gabler – I guess I should have included that (@ Lisette Gabler) on my comment below. Didn’t realize there was nothing to distinguish regular comments from comments made by hitting “reply.” I don’t understand why any comment section is set up that way. If there’s a “Reply” option, they should somehow differentiate the “reply” comments from regular comments. Oh well.

  4. I left brighthouse because they dropped style network, and went to directv. Now the network is gone all together??? This is foolishness for certain, and they will regret it when they see the ratings…

  5. Making this change was a big mistake just like the others I will not be watching this network…. Bring back style network

  6. Esquire Network SUCKS! I am SO pissed off about this programming change. I will also NEVER watch this channel again. I love Jerseylicious and many of the other programs on Style. What a total hosing of the predominately female viewership. This network is going to crash and burn now – hope you’re happy losers.

    @All the other haters

Shut the fuck up! We don’t care if you didn’t like Style! Style is awesome! I liked Tia and Tamera, Super Nanny, Clean Housd, How Do I Look etc. Unless Esquire steps up it’s game and actually shows something for women, YOU’RE NOT WELCOME HERE IDIOTS!

  8. WTF! Me and my Mother watched Style! THOSE IDIOTS! Thank the lord Tia & Tamera is on E! I loved that show! Esquire looks like shit anyway. Blocked.

  9. I am SO sick and tired of men taking over the reins of what women are “allowed” to watch. Esquire can take a hike. Style had style and you’ll never see me watching Esquire. What a stupid decision made my stupid men!!!!!

  10. Ridiculous. Style had a lot of viewers…myself included. I will not watch Esquire. Not happy about losing Jerseylicious! Who made this stupid decision?

  11. WTF!?!?!Style network had some of my favorite shows and I am not interested in watching what Esquire has to offer. The new shows are geared more towards men, not women. This is ridiculous. Give us the Style channel back!!!

  12. I totally agree and had the same attachment to Style Network as the other viewers. When I complained to my local cable company about losing Giuliana & Bill and my other favorite, Hot Listings in Miami, I was told that Esquire network was created to encourage a more balanced viewership by adding programs for the male audience. What a joke! To begin with, what female would be tempted to tune into a channel named Esquire? Even if it was called Esquirette it would not attract female viewers, hence another male dominated network. The ten year old reruns of the worn out Sex and the City series seem to be the bone (pardon the pun) they threw in for women. Obviously, they truly didn’t give us a moment’s thought when these decisions were made in the boardroom! Pathetic!!

  13. “Brew Dogs”?! Knife Fight?! Judging by the hipster beards and flannel it’s clear this isn’t a channel for MEN. It’s a channel for Beta Males.

  14. I’m outraged and couldn’t agree more with the other people responding to this news!!! I love ALL these shows…all I can say is “WHY?” I will also block Esquire!!!

    • I couldn’t agree more with all the comments above! What a STUPID decision by STUPID males who think they run the world. Style had Style. Esquire is a joke!
