“What happened to Style network?” will be the question of the evening when Esquire Network officially takes over the the 15-year-old network on Monday, Sept. 23 at 9pm ET with the premiere of Esquire’s 80th. Still in question is whether new episodes of Giuliana & Bill, Jerseylicious, Big Rich Texas and Tia & Tamera will find a home on any of NBCU’s other networks. Some of the shows are expected to simply end their run, while a few will most likely be worked into schedules on E!, Bravo or Oxygen.
UPDATE: Style Network TV to relaunch in Fall 2014! See feature.
E! did confirm plans of airing the most recent seasons of Giuliana & Bill and Tia & Tamera starting in October. E! will begin re-airing Season 3 episodes of Tia & Tamera and already aired episodes of Giuliana & Bill’s sixth season on Tuesday nights starting Oct. 15 at 9pm ET, as well as new episodes of Giuliana & Bill next year. Season 3 of Tia & Tamera actually ended on Style Sunday, Sept. 22, and it’s unknown whether the series will see a fourth season. Oxygen will also be airing a 10-episode marathon of Season 3 of Tia & Tamera beginning Thursday, Sept. 26 at noon ET.
Syndicated series on Style, like Sex and the City, which originally ran on weekends, are interspersed heavily throughout the Esquire schedule, helping fill early morning, late-night and weekend time slots for the new net. Sex and the City, however, is littered all over the NBCU nets — you can catch it on E!, Oxygen and Bravo.
Clean House, which aired for nine seasons on Style, will also show up on Esquire — at least for the first week — filling the Wednesday, Sept. 25 morning block from 6am to 3pm ET.
At launch, Esquire had several original series including Knife Fight, Brew Dogs, Boundless and The Getaway. Similar to Style, Esquire will also help fill its programming schedule with blockbuster movies. The first few weeks, viewers of Esquire can expect titles like Ocean’s Thirteen, Casino Royale, Ghost Rider and Stripes, as well as popular series from Bravo like Million Dollar Listing, Chef Roble and Top Chef, and USA Network series like Psych and Burn Notice.
We will update you with further details on other former Style series as they are announced.
All I wanna know is what channel will Jerseylicious, Big Rich Texas and Tia and Tamera will be air on. I can care less about Esquire.
Im so pissed! I loved the Style Network! It was my go to channel when i needed my fashion fix, jerseylicious, kimora, giuliana and bill, antm, etc…..
Dumb move for another nerdy channel! Boycott NBC!
wow…this stinx! I thought my satellite channel lost it too then realized this morning that Esquire took over. I looked forward to my Style shows as everyone else on here did too! Boycott!!
This was a very dumb decision to change the style network to esquire… They r going to lose alot of viewers bc of this..i loved style network and my shows jerseylicious and big rich texas .. i hope they realize how dumb they are
I’m very angry that Style is not there any more! I loved ALL the shows that the network had and now I won’t be able to watch them in Style. I need G&B and Tia and Tamera and Jerselious!! I won’t be watching the new network you guys are going to loose a lot of viewers.
I love style network, all about women’s style, this the only channel style women’s plssssss we need all about tia & Tamara and guilliana abd and Bill
I wish my cable provider had given notice that Style would become Esquire. I thought that Style had been moved. You would think when a new channel comes on it would have shows in place. who are the programmers? such idiots. And how many stations need SNTC? I watched it 1st go round. I do not need repeats especially since many words/scenes are deleted.
Kind of annoyed since many Style shows are gone. won’t be watching esquire station. what a bad move
Very sad that the style network was taken over by esquire. I will not be watching.
Either will I. Let’s all start a massive NBC BOYCOTT (with ALL of their networks)!!! Tell everyone you know!
Sooo disappointed! Where will I watch Big Rich Texas?! This is horrible. They’ll be losing loads of loyal watchers!
I don’t no why they changed Style Network. They had really good shows on there now there is nothing interesting on that Esquire channel.
I agree with all the above comments, but I am very sad to see the network takeover and my cable provider almost got a really ugly phone call. But I don’t think they really thought this thing through women are very loyal series watchers an Sunday nights I have been an advid Tia & Tamera watcher so they better have a Season 4 & Gil n Bill…really truly disappointed. Taking over a female dominate channel versus a male channel not so smart. 2thumbs down
Absolutely ridiculous! will miss Tia n Tamera and G n B. They lost a viewer in me too.
I am furious with this change. In addition to previously mentioned shows on the old Style Network, I also enjoyed watching reruns of “America’s Next Top Model.” I refuse to watch any of those new shows or movies mentioned, & I’m certain that this new nwtwork will see a precipitous drop in ratings from that of the Style Network. Whoever is making the programming decisions over at NBCUNI, is an IDIOT, & should be immediately FIRED. IT WILL SOON BE APPARENT THAT THIS WAS THE DUMBEST DECISION MADE IN THE HISTORY OF TV.
I am shocked and very disappointed to see the Style
network replaced, and I will mostly, miss seeing Tia and Tamera.
Totally bummed. I really enjoyed Style network and all of their programs!!
I watched every episode of Tia&Tamara,Jerseylicious & Guiliana &Bill faithfully and really find it disappointing to see that the Style channel has been replaced and the new network will not have the same programming. They just lost a customer!!!!
I hope E Channel or Bravo picks these shows up!
This really sucks. I really enjoyed the Style network lineup. Esquire would be more successful if it kept the programming as it was. As for right now it sounds like a future failure.
This is ridiculous. .. I’m sooo frustrated. Now what will uuu watch? I loved this channel. .. can someone fix this plz.. .
I was wondering what in the world happened I was getting ready to call my cable provider to find out what in the heck was going on. This sucks! I will not be watching the new network!
Agreed, boycott!!!
How incredibly stupid does a network mogul have to be to replace a predominately women’s channel with programming for men? None of the men in my household have any interest in the programming on this channel so far, but the loyal audiences that watched the Style channel will be lost to them. With nuts like this running things it’s no wonder the NBC channels keep falling farther and farther behind. If they really wanted to incorporate man-centered programming, they could have just shown fewer reruns of Sex in the City and there would have been plenty of room for new programming.
